Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Beresford DAC ... Who uses one and how good is it really ?
jbloggs;447470 Wrote: Actually, I preferred the 19MK3 over the ZeroDAC right from the word go, so your rather sarcastic remarks are completely off... I'm sure you know the old cliche sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, so you're better off saying nothing rather than showing yourself up! ;) You must have missed that little yellow smiley face then! Anyway (moving on) if you preferred the new DAC from the get-go, what will happen hundreds of hours later? (apart from the obvious observation that you will have forgotten what your old DAC sounded like...and indeed what your new DAC sounded like when new - which of course will in fact be exactly the same as it sounds now). -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal... Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter to pre- or poweramp
A poll associated with this post was created, to vote and see the results, please visit http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64028 Question: To what is your Transporter connected - Preamp - Poweramp I did connect my Transporter directly into a Primare 33.2 power amp using balanced ouputs. At first I worried about overloading the Primare input, since I did not use any attenuation. It turned out that the Transporter was not able to drive the Primare no where near the maximum. So, in my case I need a pre-amp. Secondly I realy feel a pre-amp is the key element of making- or braking a system. Without pre-amp the sound is just very 'correct'. With pre-amp (primare pre30) the system comes to live. -- S2K S2K's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12675 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64028 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] How to switch to different input (digital)
how can I assign the input to favorites? Your best bet is to select that input, then from the SqueezeCenter interface add it to favorites (the 'heart' icon). Then edit favorites (the pencil icon) and you can there define which of 0-9 long presses on the remote will associate with the favorite. +---+ |Filename: untitled.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7954| +---+ -- amcluesent amcluesent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66497 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
