I am running a Pi4 with IQAudio digiAMP+ hat stacked on the back of the official display. Cooling is just the stick on heatsink that the pihut sell. Reported Pi temperature is 50 - 55 degrees C while driving local speakers and a separate bluetooth speaker simultaneously. I can live with that IanH99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64902 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111846 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

The Khadas just plugs into the usb port Over on the rpi forums, users recommend vanilla SSD sata over the M2 as the rpi cannot utilise the full speed of the M2 USb boot on the rpi4 is now at "stable" https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=91=280351=1699670#p1698171 and for "trim" http://https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63=277413=1687257=trim#p1687257 There a lots of options for mounting and cases, this is just one https://geekworm.com/collections/nas-storage ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111846 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

Who will want to run a dual monitor setup on a pi ? and yes I agree they run a lot hotter than the other models. I've used a 3b+ as my LMS server and player for years now without any problems. I'd be interested to know how you use a Khados tone bar as I would like to try using another SBC ( FriendlyElec Nanopim4 v2) as a server and player and as none of the pi DAC hats will work on them maybe a Khados is the answer. My motive for using it is you can fit a NVME M2 SSD drive via a hat and that would enable me to get rid of my external USB drive and reduce the clutter of wires. Does the Khados simply plug into a USB port ? We can't stop here this is bat country. I ended up with the Flirc case, which is both a case + heat dissipator and am very happy I did so. I believe that using a HAT would mean, at least, the raspi processor slowing down to avoid heat damage (and for similar performance, then I'd rather use a Raspi 3) waldo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111846 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
