Hi All I might have to correct something here. It is correct that the problem is the Axdat.udb, which holds the active Axapta user sessions and AOS instances. The problem is when network failure or a serious crash on the client site occurs. Windows doesnt recognize it and cant notify the aos instance about it. The solution is to delete the axdat.udb file, when all users and AOS instances are closed. Another solution that mostly works is to use the TCP/IP registry parameter KEEPALIVETIME. You can decrease the default value on the key from 2 hours to example 3 min. We are currently investigating another solution for version 4.0 to solve the problem. We have initially 100 licenses. And the online users used to show 23 users. And if anyone tries to log on to Axapta, it used to complain max users exceeded When contacted Microsoft, they informed us that its a bug related to AOS and AXDAT.UDB file is getting corroputed. To temporarily solve this by MS folks, All you ( Admin) need to do is: 1. Stop AOS 2. delete AXDAT.UDB file. 3. restart AOS. When you restart AOS, the new and correct version of AXDAT.UDB will be created. Now it will show you the Correct Number of Online USERs. I don't find the reply email from MS to forward it you, but that should work. Hi there, I have some technical questions. Does anybody know in what language the axapta kernel is written. Is it Java or C++. Hi, Actually if u do in between, then be damn sure that u r inventory closing for previous periods are correct and u will not required to calculate it again, cuz u will be changing the method right. So for this purpose only do not change the existing inventory model group instead create a new with the new costing method and attach it. And take Back up before running closing with the new inventory model group - costing. Actually if everything is fine then there should not be a problem - but technically how the axapta behaves that u will know after you do. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Slow Performance of Report
Hi Everbody, Well friends i have designed a report on SubLedger transaction. For that i have to take field from many tables viz. VendTrans,AssetTrans,BankAccountTrans,CustTrans,Ledgertable and not mention Ledgerttrans also. now i have inserted my desire dataset on a temp table which i have created. But mine problem is that when report is executed it takes a lot of time. I have all populated all the data on to the fetch method. Please tell me if there is any optimization techinque in terms of Coding or the deployment which can speed my report execution and whether this temp table strategy is the right one to be followed when data is to be extracted from many tables and many relation have to be implemented. based on these three fields as a key:
- TransTableId
- TransRecId
- LineNum
You can check index TransRecIdIdx for MarkupTrans to
verify this.
The value of field LineNum is assigned in method
initValue() based on TransTableId and TransRecId.
this.lineNum = MarkupTrans::lastLineNum(
this.transTableId,
this.transRecId) + 1;
But the field transTableId (=??) and transRecId (=??)
are not yet filled in at the time initValue() is
called, which means lineNum's value built will NOT
represent (the last lineNum + 1) for the expected
transTableId and transRecId.
So, instead of call table's method in this sequence:
// assign lineNum
mt.initValue();
// assign transTableId and transRecId
mt.initFromSalesLine(trans.salesLine());
try to change the sequence like this:
// assign transTableId and transRecId
mt.initFromSalesLine(trans.salesLine());
// assign lineNum
mt.initValue();
so the field transTableId and transRecId are
guaranteed to be filled in before lineNum's
assignment.

Hi all;
I try to insert markuptrans, there are 3 markupCodes, for 1 of them i can

And if anyone tries to log on to Axapta, it used to complain "max users exceeded" When contacted Microsoft, they informed us that its a bug related to AOS and AXDAT.UDB file is getting corroputed. To temporarily solve this by MS folks, All you ( Admin) need to do is: 1. Stop AOS 2. delete AXDAT.UDB file. 3. restart AOS. When you restart AOS, the new and correct version of AXDAT.UDB will be created. Now it will show you the Correct Number of Online USERs. I don't find the reply email from MS to forward it you, but that should work. Hi Jim I dont get all the online users in Axapta but in Oracle Sessions it shows correct . I tried the deleting and recreating the .udb file with AOS shutdown and no users connected. I did not try the TCP/IP KEEPALIVE TIMEOUT . How to change the KEEPALIVE TIMEOUT and where should we do it (client or server).Both the AOS are holding the same configuration with Oracle 9.2 as the database on 3-tier architecture.
