Hi Nihar,

Are you sure you give check to the Reserved ordered item checkbox
when you create the purchase order thru sales order form? If not, then
it will not be reserved for that sales order. Other sales order can pick
and deliver the item.

In your sales order form, Lines - Reservation. check whether

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Axapta table wizard

2005-12-05 Thread victor_zuev
Hi all,

After I'd created a number of tables for customisations I thought why
there was no any wizard for adding a new table. Therefore I created a
table wizard which reduces some routine work.

I published my table wizard on http://axutilities.blogspot.com/
Please feel free to add your comments and ideas.
Thanks!

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Printer settings

2005-12-05 Thread drescher_r
I'd like to print a daily report which shows open tasks from projects.
The problem is, that this must be created and printed automatically,
for which i have to
- print from a report method without interaction, the target being
window's default printer
- select printing options like paper format

i found sysPrintOptions and it's child printJobSettings - but the
documentation is (mildly spoken) poor

any ideas how i could find out changing the printer settings? I'd like
to change the windows default if that's possible, like when the report
is started, it gets the current printer settings and changes them to
fit the desired, then it creates the report and prints using the now
changed defaults

help,anyone?

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Printer settings

2005-12-05 Thread Paulius Cerniauskas
I've made a little of customisation in enterprise
portal for printing reports to a file:

   printJobSettings printJobSettings;
   str 64 file;
   ReportRun reportRun;
;

file  =
\\machineName\SharedFolderName\fileName.RTF;

args = new args();
args.name(reportstr(ReportName));

args.caller(this);
reportrun = classFactory.reportRunClass(Args);
if (reportRun)
{
printJobSettings =
reportrun.printJobSettings();
printJobSettings.setTarget(PrintMedium::File);
printJobSettings.format(PrintFormat::RTF);
printJobSettings.fileName(file);
reportrun.init();
reportrun.run();
 }
..
In addition report property Interactive is set to NO

In the example below i use this piece of code to set
up paper pickup when printing Project invoice: FIrst
page is printed from tray that has id TrayNo1, other
pages prom Tray with Id TrayNo2.
printJobSettings.deviceName() - gets name of default
printer.

void traySetup()
{

;

element.printJobSettings().addTrayPageCopy(element.printJobSettings().getTray(TrayNo1),
1,1);

element.printJobSettings().addTrayPageCopy(element.printJobSettings().getTray(trayNo2),
2,2);
}

It must be mentioned that it is difference where the
report class is runned On. Because server ant client
computer can have different default printers.

Also wicked behaviour has been noticed when working on
3tier. I couldn't manage to set up different trays for
printing on 3tier, while it works fine on 2 tier.

if you will succeed - feedback is welcome :) !

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Update datasource from Class

2005-12-05 Thread Irving
Hi

When updating vendor invoices from the invoicepool form, you click
the button 'Purchase order' and you get the Posting Invoice form
(PurchEditLines).

I would like to update all lines (datasource PurchParmLines) from a
class. So far I have done the following in Main:

PurchParmLine purchParmLine;
FormDataSourcepurchParmLine_ds;
int   i = 0;
;

purchParmLine = _args.record();
if (purchParmLine.dataSource())
  purchParmLine_ds = purchParmLine.dataSource();

for (purchParmLine = purchParmLine_ds.getFirst(true) ?
 purchParmLine_ds.getFirst(true):
purchParmLine_ds.cursor);purchParmLine;
purchParmLine = purchParmLine_ds.getnext())
{
// Some processing
i++;
}

On the menuitem used on the form PurchEditLines, I have set the
property MultiSelect to Yes.
On the invoice I'm trying to update, I have two purchase lines, but
my counter only counts to one because it's only the record the
cursor is standing on that I find.

How can I get access to all the lines?

Regards

irving

Hi Nihar,

I still think that when you create the PO, you forget to click to reserved the order and thus it is already delivered by other SO.

Now, Please check whether your SO line is really linked to the purchase order line. in the SO line, click Inventory - Lot - Lot transactions. In the General tab, notice that Reference lot id. See in your purchase order, whether this Reference lot id exists (PO line - Setup tab)

I don't have the issue that you had. and there is no other setting.

Hi, niharI think your setting is right.. If you create PO from SO and your PO is not Packing Slip yet then u update SO through Picking List Registration, a message error will occur (see my previous attachement) but if your PO has been Packing Slip (the stock has received on warehouse) then you update Picking List Registration, a message will not occur since the stock is available on the warehouse

Hi Nihar,

Are you sure you give check to the Reserved ordered item checkbox when you create the purchase order thru sales order form? If not, then it will not be reserved for that sales order. Other sales order can pick and deliver the item.

In your sales order form, Lines - Reservation. check whether that item has been reserved for that particular sales order line.

Hi Irving,

After you fetch the voucher (after fetching it will not balance), you have to click Function - Purchase order.

When you post the Invoice approval journal, have you clicked Function - Purchase order in the Invoice journal line?
This will post the purchase order invoice from Invoice journal.

Does anyone have a list of what tables need to be exported/imported? Should

As a quick test I added to a menu item

the project, I did not receive the best practices error discussed.

NOTE:

1. Tried the menu item with and without a configuration key.

2. We are running Axapta 3
sp 2. It is possible this error may be the result of using sp 3.

I agree that security keys with a parent
set should not be assigned to objects.

Security Keys in the system has a Configuration Key property. This
means that you can associate a Security with a configuration key. Objects like
Tables and Menu Items have a Security Key Configuration Key property. You
must ensure that if you associate an object with a Security Key and
aConfiguration Key that theConfiguration Key for the object
