Re :[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] SQL error when linking SQL 2005 database with Ax 3.0 SP5
Hi Abdul, nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; The error which u get is because of the compatability of the SQL sefrver 2005. Ax 3.0 does support the connection to SQL server 2005 with this condition , you will have to go the database which u access for Ax 3.0 in the sql management studiogt;database propertiesgt;optionsgt;compatability levelgt; make it to sql server2000 level because Ax 3.0 works with the sql server2005 database with this compatability only. i think this will help u out in solving the problemRegards,Arun Kumar.P.S.On Thu, 21 Jun 2007 00:46:46 -0700 (PDT) Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com wroteHi,I have installed Ax 3.0 SP5 in a Win XP operating with SQL server 2005. This was a fresh installation. After the database been created in SQL server 2005, the very first time, when opening Axapta, the system gives the following error message:---SQL error---Microsoft SQL Server has reported the following error:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near \'INDEX\'. If this is intended as a part of a table hint, A WITH keyword and parenthesis are now required. See SQL Server Books Online for proper syntax. You may refer to the error log file for further details.Retry the operation?---Yes No ---This error appears after the logon screen of Ax 3.0. Once we say yes/no, it keeps on giving different errors.I guess, this would be possible to use SQL server 2005 with Ax 3.0. Please help me to get rid of this error. Thanks in advance.Abdul-Get the Yahoo! toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you\'re surfing. Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Delete alerts
Hi Siva, Try Deleting Data in table using following option Administration - Periodic - SQL Administration - Table action - Truncate In SQL Administration form select the table whose data you need to delete, and then use this option. This option is much more faster then any other option you apply. I suspect you may be using while loop to delete the data in the table. This Truncate option uses the MSSQL Truncate command internally to delete all records form any table. On the other hand deleting this much of recods will always takes time. To implement Alert functionality, Dynamics AX uses following tables EventParameters EventCompanyRule EventCUD EventInbox | |- EventInboxData |- EventRule | |-EventRuleData |-EventRuleField |-EventRuleIgnore |-EventRuleIgnoreAggregation |-EventRuleRel | |-EventRuleRelData Tables are related as explained above. If you need to delete data from all the tables related to Alert then start deleting data in table from bottom to up. Hope you understand what I wnated to explain. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Invoice Approval Journals POs
I have registered an invoice from a certain vendor. I have created an Invoice Approval Journal and have fetched this invoice. I would like to match this invoice to several purchase orders. My problem is that the total of the purchase orders does not match exactly the invoice's total. Since the vendor could add new lines that were not considered in the original POs. Is it possible to approve the difference and tell it what to do with it, without having to change the original POs? As a work around, we are registering the invoice for the total of the PO's and then registering another invoice for the difference. Is there a better way? Thanks and regards, Jaime
