RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Dimension wise Financial Statements
One option is to use XL Reporter. XLR is an Excel based report writer for Axapta that specializes in Dimension reporting and has a Tree Builder for more difficult reports. Jim Hummer Consultant http://www.xlreporter.com To: axapta-knowledge-village@yahoogroups.com From: dyne...@yahoo.com Date: Tue, 1 Sep 2009 15:55:36 -0700 Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Dimension wise Financial Statements Hi, I have a requirement where we need to create Dimension wise Financial Statement which will mean that a balance Trial Balance will be required per Dimension Value. Example - If we consider there ar 4 values in one of the Dimension ( say Purpose), then periodically 4 Trial Balance will be required based on these 4 values of the Dimension. Please let me know if this is possible or you have any idea what all issues may come to have such a report. I can see one scenario where it can fail: A Sales Order with 4 different lines having diffeent values of Dimension in each of the lines. Once this sales Order get invoiced, Revenue is booked based on Dimension but the Customer balance is created with summary of all this four lines. Hence, i can forsee a balanced Trial balance per dimension may not come in an output. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance. Regards A
[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Ax-2009 Sales Forecasting
Hi All, I m stuck up with Sales Forecasting. My scinario is as follow; My company is creating Sales Forecast for the following three months. ( i.e. Sept, Oct, Nov'09) The forecasted Qty is fixed for that month. I hv created following Masters: 1) Sales Model 2) Period allocation key ( here, in Lines I have specified 1 month with Allocation percentage 100%) I entered the Forecast of respective Items in Inventory Magmt Periodic Forecast Entry Items. ( Item A: 200 nos. Date: 5th Sept2009 Item A: 400 nos. Date : 5th Oct2009 Item A: 150 nos. Date : 5th Nov2009) After running the Forecast Scheduling, system has generated Planned Prod Purchase orders accordingly. After running the Master Scheduling also system has generated Planned Prod Purchase orders accordingly. Now if I generate the Sales Order today for the september Month's delivery, the planned order against Forecast is getting consumed correctly. However, If I book the Sales Order for the Month of October ( i.e for 15th October) then the system is not consuming the Forecast generating another Planned Production Order apart from the Planned Prod Orders which has been generated against the forecast. Here, If I changed the system's date to October's date run the Master Planning then the system is consuming the Forecasted order ( Planned Prod Order ). Can any one help me in understanding that why the system is not consuming the Sales Forecast ( Planed Orders generated against Forecast) for the month other than current month? cheers.. Stuart

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Indian Localization
Hi Yatin Santosh, Thanks Yatin for the Information. Santosh, as Yatin said in AX2009 Localization is Consolidated only. Thanks, Naveen From: yatin dalvi yatinyda...@yahoo.co.in To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, 3 September, 2009 8:57:05 AM Subject: Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Indian Localization Hi, You can see all countries because the localizations for these countries in AX 2009 is consolidated to a single layer - GLS. In the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 solution, the individual GLS layers for China, Japan, Brazil, India, and Thailand have been merged together to create a single, consolidated GLS layer. This will better support multinational deployments of Microsoft Dynamics AX.
