Hello Folks, I have one doubt. From .Net whether is it possible to open the Ax forms and create records with some mandatory data in it. From .net when we click ok button from the windows form it should open the AX form (for example customer form) , create a record in this form and set the values in the fields(filling the Customer account, customer group). Hi , can any one explain how ti config the below scenario : A job comes to X Service centre and from there it could be assigned to any of the companies (Currently 5 to 6 companies). Mostly all the companies have complementary resources (Items, Equipments, Employees etc.,). One company owns (Let us call this main) the Project and responsible to deliver the Project to the client. Remaining companies(Let us call this subs) support this company in executing the tasks. That is, while defining the Project tasks by main, there would be some references to subs also in the same project. This would happen based on the mutually agreed resource plan. availability from all companies (One form is required to display the availability of resources, equipments, Employees etc., from all companies). Once any resource is used from subs in the Project owned by Main, the corresponding updates should happen in sub. i.e. Main is using some equipment from sub then in sub that equipment should be marked as allocated and should not be available for any allocations until it is released. Since sub is serving the main by way of supplying this equipment, naturally sub would charge main for this. In fact, all the resource sale price being used in the Project would be visible to all main and subs.

Hi, How can I change the inventory model group from Standard Cost to FIFO of an Item which has got transaction and price is enabled with Standard Cost. If I change the inventory model group it prompts following message The item is set to be evaluated by inventory model ‘Standard cost'. The system cannot convert the item to be evaluated by an inventory model of type ‘Transactions settled’ only inventory models of type ‘Transactions not settled’ can be selected. I'll be thankful for quick response and solution. Thanks

Hi, When issuing material to production department you have several options: Transfer items from your materials warehouse to a Production warehouse using a Transfer Journal. This will allow the production picking list to automatically pick the materials from that location Set the materials warehouse as the default warehouse for the production order picking list so that production pick straight from your inventory. Use a movement Journal to write off the inventory from materials warehouse and another to write it into the production warehouse. The Production order requests materials from stores using either a requistion or a picking list. When receiving Produced Inventory from Production the options are: Automatic Report as finished Journal which is done by the production order. This will place the finished product into the warehouse assigned on the report as finished journal in the production order. Report the quanitties as finished into a production warehouse then use either a transfer journal or movement journals to send them into the finished Goods inventory. If you have a test area take a look at the Production Modue. Create a new production order as a test. Go through the motions of creating the order. View the fields on all tabs of the production order carefully and you will see what fields can be updated and preset in order to make your production run smoothly.
