That's that sorta sister site to the CCA. You can either go to the Azores
or hire someone to go there and get it for you. I think it says it is
physically in Horta. If so, I believe Joao Ventura goes to Horta from time
to time. Right now, he's in California, lecturing on genealogy. Go ahead
and email him and ask if he can get it for you, but he may not get back to

[AZORES-Genealogy] Portuguese Genealogy Conference, Salt Lake City, Utah, August 29-September 1, 2017 now open!

The Portuguese Genealogy Conference and Research Trip has now been
finalized.

Come join us in Salt Lake City, Utah from August 29-September 1st and
explore your ancestors with ancestors with us! We will have many classes,
computer labs, and lots of one-on-one and research time built in for you.
You'll also be able to network with other researchers and maybe even find
out another attendees is your cousin!

Once again, the Conference is hosted at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel, next
door to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. More information in

Oh boy, Liz. You are in for it if there are that many! You are going to
have to get the marriages on all of them and start trying to match the
children with the parents. You need to make very detailed notes on the
godparents too because that may help you connect the kids with their
parents!

[AZORES-Genealogy] Information on Pires

I have several great grandparents of the Pires family but can’t find much 
information about them. It appears they might have been prominent in the early 
days of Brazil in the 1500’s to early or mid 1600’s. Does anyone know the 
history of the Pires families around that time. I have particular interest in 
Salvador (1565); Salvado (1540); Sebastio Rodrigues Pires (1650) and Sebastio 
Rosa Pires (1669); Joao (O Gato) Pires (1505). These are all my Great 
GreatGrandparents (there are more). I would appreciate information on the 
individuals or at least some history of the Pires families.

I can't say whether or nor they were related, but Silveira was/is a common 
surname.  The ages of the bride and groom are not indicated.
