Unfortunately, no. Their names and years of birth are all I have, based on 
US census records. This is the type of information I was hoping to find out.

Hello Elizabeth,

Since you seem to know where they were married, you should be ordering
first their marriage certificate.  If you have Ancestry membership you
should be able to find it.  The parents should be listed as well as
the place of origin.

This may be the birth record for Rosa.  Top right side.  Birth date is
March 21 1838 Baptized on April 1 of 1838.  The parents on this record
are Manuel Furtado Cardozo [Cardoso] and his wife Rosa Pacheco.

Good afternoon; It’s “Sidenote Sam” again.  I can get a lot of this but; not 
enough to put it all together.  #26, Jacintho.

I can see Jacintho de Figueiredo who is 31 years old marrying Maria something? 
Resendes who is 21 years old and the daughter of Manoel Bairos Resendes and 
Jacintha something? De Moura.  At least, that’s what I think I see.

Thanks Angela;  Once again I greatly appreciate you taking the time to type it 
out for me.  It explains what I thought was a discrepancy.  I thought it was 
saying that he was 73 when he dies and he was not, he was 61.  I was 
mis-reading the registry number for his age at death.

Do you know what the Manuel Bairos/Inacio de Rezendes  connotates?   Is the 
priest trying to indicate that his name was Manuel Inacio Bairos de Rezendes?

[AZORES-Genealogy] Help with maternal grandfather's name - Santa Barbara, Santa Maria

['Sam (Camas, WA)' via Azores Genealogy]

Cheri and Angela;  You guys are helping me clean up a lot of records that had 
various things I couldn’t make out.  I really appreciate your help!

This one is a birth of Jacintha, top, left.  It is only the maternal 
grandfather’s name I can’t decipher.  Joao Ventura Jose de ?? Morais.  It all 
runs together there so, I’m not sure what is what.
