[AZORES-Genealogy] Maria Rebelo Medeiros
Any help on this line is appreciated. Maria Rebelo Medeiros, I can't find her baptism, her parents marriage, siblings baptisms, etc. I have checked Faial da Terra and Agua Retorta for her baptism. Am I looking in the wrong place? What I have, her parents: Jose Pereira Medeiros and Maria Rebelo Medeiros. She married Jose Soares de Resendes 1823. Marriage (on the left): http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-C-1800-1833/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-C-1800-1833_item1/P142.html her daughter, Maria da Luz Soares marriage record (right side): http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-C-1833-1860/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-C-1833-1860_item1/P99.html her husband, Jose Soares, obit #31 on right: http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-O-1860-1869/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-O-1860-1869_item1/P55.html I believe this is her brother, Antonio Rebello Medeiros' marriage record, left side: http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-C-1800-1833/SMG-PV-FAIALDATERRA-C-1800-1833_item1/P92.html Thank you -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Azores Genealogy" group. [AZORES-Genealogy] Margin Notes Maria Moniz
Can someone give me insight on the margin notes in general, specifically for this baptism of Maria Moniz, daughter of Raphael Moniz and Maria Jose Mederios of Ponta Delgada, Sao Jose, Sao Miguel. No. 185, bottom right http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PD-SAOJOSE-B-1890-1894/SMG-PD-SAOJOSE-B-1890-1894_item1/P139.html Please correct me if I'm wrong and let me know what I am missing if you can! There are 3 entries in the margin next to her baptism. It looks like a marriage to Manuel De Anfos Nunes Lopes; then the date looks to be written out at 1974 The second I am at a loss, I see a date of 1924 but not sure what the rest is. The third, her death March 1984 in Sao Jose.Does it say where she is buried? Thank you! Chelly -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Azores Genealogy" group. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Translation help? Baptism Francisco Arruda
Cheri you are a gold mine of help! I appreciate it so much! I had a feeling he was a whaler, I just needed a professional opinion. I hope I will be able to get the hang of it and help others soon! Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Translation help? Baptism Francisco Arruda
Thank you! That's good to know! Specifically looking into Francisco's marriage record. His occupation looks like, balieiro. I've tried several different spellings and nothing translates. The same phrase also appears next to their first witness. The first line at top of the second page of their marriage record, does that state the wife, Maria, and wife's family were from the island of Faial? On Francisco's baptism record, does it state where his parents are living or marriage location specifically? I am looking for the place his parents where married so I can locate their marriage record. I know he was baptized in Ribeira Grande Porto Formoso but I have looked through years of marriage records with no sign of the names of his parents. I'm very green at this, I greatly apologize. I'm sure these are really silly and annoying questions! Many thanks! [AZORES-Genealogy] Translation help? Baptism Francisco Arruda
Hi I'm new to this and trying to translate a record of my great grandfather, Francisco, of Sao Miguel. * Number 55.* http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-RG-PORTOFORMOSO-B-1860-1869/SMG-RG-PORTOFORMOSO-B-1860-1869_item1/P187.html and Francisco's Marriage record to Maria, *bottom left*. http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PD-SAOJOSE-C-1890-1899/SMG-PD-SAOJOSE-C-1890-1899_item1/P50.html I've tried to translate it myself but I have some holes in it, and the records are difficult for me to read. Any help, translations, resources, would be greatly appreciated!
