Re: [Blind-Computing] getting back lost emails
Try going into the find feature of windows by doing windows key F. Once you press windows key f, you will land in an edit field, type in some text that relates to the email, press enter, tab a few times to the results. I'm unsure of which OS you are using, but if its vista or xp you might be presented with radio buttons after typing in your search query such as: email or documents, etc. I hope that will help, if not please let me know. With 300 emails this might take a long time if that works, that is. -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of ROSEMARIE CHAVARRIA Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 7:43 PM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: [Blind-Computing] getting back lost emails Hi, everyone, I was trying to move an email to its proper folder in thunderbird but the folder was gone. [Blind-Computing] RE. Juno Accounts with Outlook
Bill, I have tried it with Outlook 2007, and get an error message. Maybe it's possible, but I don't know how. Since the free Juno email is accessible only my web mail, I pay $10 per year for Juno mega mail, which allows me to use juno software for sending and receiving email on my computer. This works well with JAWS, and is easier than web mail. How long have you had it? Because if it is more than 2 years old, it might need a new battery. Also, check the power supply to see if it is plugged in all of the way. Re: [Blind-Computing] Computer shutting down
To verify whether your PC is actually overheating, you can download a little app called Core Temp which continually monitors the temperature of your CPU and displays it in the System Tray. As a general rule, your CPU should operate at a temperature below 60 degrees C, although this can vary with manufacturer. However, if Core Temp constantly displays temperatures in excess of this threshold, you might have a defective cooling fan which could cause your PC to overheat and shut down. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows-Widgets/Widget-Miscellaneous/Core-Temp.shtml Gerald - Original Message - From: Mich m...@ntl.sympatico.ca To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Wednesday, January 27, 2010 2:31 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Computer shutting down hmm it sounds like a over heeting problum my pc did that and that was because it was on the flor and full of dog hair and dust and other stuff. Re: [Blind-Computing] Computer shutting down
Yes, Core Temp works with Win 7. No, you're in big trouble if your CPU temperature is above 60 degrees C, not below 60 degrees C. Ideally, your CPU should operate below 40 degrees C most of the time. That's C as in Celsius, not F as in Fahrenheit. Re: [Blind-Computing] Computer shutting down
Wayne could be right that the battery isn't right, and the message about empty could have something to do with a battery level warning - if using jaws, you can check whether or not it's charging/maintaining battery levels by hitting a combo of shift + B + jaws key. If it's plugged in and fully charged, it should say something like battery level not found. [Blind-Computing] Password Agent and associated issues
Hi group, I installed Password Agent a week or so ago and decided to uninstall it because I didn't like the functionality. I now believe that the program has messed with my entire system because I am unable to access sites where I must enter a password. All I set up with Password Agent was the Master Password, I gave it no other information. Is anyone familiar with Password Agent? Does simply installing the free version eliminate all my passwords? I know this sounds crazy, but I'm at a loss here as to where to go with this, short of contacting every admin on every site I need to get into that has password access. Thanks everybody...
