[Blind-Computing] Enter key v shift enter key?

2013-01-12 Thread Rich
In XP home 14.0 and I E 8.
Many times when clicking on a link I have much more information by hitting
shift enter instead of, just the enter button.
Is there a way to know when one should use the shift enter combo instead of the
enter button?

Thanks.

Shift + enter specifically opens the link into a new window, instead of in
the current window.

Thanks Jacob.
Are there some links that require shift enter?
If so, how does one know when to use it and why?

Re: [Blind-Computing] Importing mail from Outlook express

2013-01-12 Thread inthaneelf
I thought that it could be done by putting the dbx files on a thumb drive
and then importing them using the import command in the file menu of
outlook, but I seem to have misplaced my notes on this.

can't hurt to try it though

Hi,

I have a XP laptop with emails on Outlook Express. I recently backup
the DBX file and I want to know if I can import the DBX file into
[outlook 2010 on my new windows7 computer? If so, can anyone direct
me how to do this?

Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Take care.

wanted then removed the ones that I was provided that I didn't want.

I have not done this in 44 for evers but is it true when downloading and
adding search providers for IE9, one needs a microsoft account?

I specifically use it when I want the original page to stay in background,
for later reference, etc., so, while links don't really require it, but, it
has it's uses - and for example, shift + mouse click on a link will also do
the same thing in general.

Re: [Blind-Computing] Enter key v shift enter key?

2013-01-12 Thread Bob W
Control-enter will also open another window but, I believe it doesn't invoke
another instance of i-e.

For example, most mornings I like to look at the New York Times. When I see
an article I would like to look at I press control-enter. I could just as
easily press shift-enter. Either way, the article appears in another window.
When I'm finished with the article all I have to do is close that window
and, voilah, I'm back in the original window where I keep perusing for
another article.

Hope this helps.
