Re: [Blind-Computing] Flash update

2011-06-15 Thread Cornell Ligon

Unfortunately, that's pretty common installing flash. Try going to
www.updateflash.org and it will tell you if the latest version is installed. If
not, get the installer and try it that way.
I found great success going that method as to the Adolby installer.
HTH!

Hi Gang,

I currently own an upgraded Win 7 box with 32 bit OS, which was formerly XP. I
have 3 gb of ram installed.
If I replace the 2 512 mb with 2 1 gb sticks, will I be wasting my money? That
would be 4 gb total as well as the 256 mb video card.

WL Sync allows a windows live user to sync their computers and/or devices. I
haven't used the program, but if I remember correctly, it also allows one to
back up 25 gb of files as well via cloud network for accessing from any

HI Yvonne,
You can locate it on microsoft.com. Will probably have to hit downloads page
and I'm sure IE 9 release candidate will be featured. The no ttracking feature
stops advertisers from tracking your searches, which also helps with spam
emails. I haven't read the full functionality of it though, but I do have the
feature turned on.

Hello there,
I've been using it since the beta. They've since released the release candidate

Re: [Blind-Computing] losing focus

2011-03-04 Thread Cornell Ligon

HI Niam,
Unfortunately, I often have the same focus issues on my Win 7, XP and XP work
computer using JFW 12 latest build and/or 11. I haven't figured it out yet and
FS had no answers, because all my settings were correct for all boxes. One
thing that's effective while on the net is refreshing the JFW screen.

Re: [Blind-Computing] Trouble opening C drive

2011-03-03 Thread Cornell Ligon

Hi,
I had the same problem years ago. My tech guy told me my hardrive was faling
and replaced it. I later learned there is a fix at www.kellys-korner.com. If
that is not the correct address, you can probably locate it via Inthane's grab
bag site or do a google search.

I must note, I had the same problem on any drive or folder I tried to open. You
might also want to check under menu options to see if you have search checked,
but I'm not sure about that one.

Re: [Blind-Computing] in my system tray!

2011-02-26 Thread Cornell Ligon

Now that you found the msconfig, alt tab until you hear start-up. arrow down to
the program you want to remove and uncheck the box. note: be careful not to
uncheck any windows components or things you're not familiar with, because you
can remove important files that makes your pc run.
After you've unchecked the program you want to remove, tab down and hit ok. It
will then ask you to reboot.

Hello There,
sounds like you're forgetting the control key. Try moving cursor to beginning

BTW: I have the same keyboard, but higher level for media and games and all
works ok as far as selecting text.

just a thought..., but check to see if possibly sent to recycle bin. Also, try
accessing my documents via the desktop if you haven't already tried and see if
my Music shows up there.
Alternatively, you can check start menu and task bar via control panel. Check
to make sure show My Music in start menu appears that way as another option.
