[Blind-Computing] Blogging Space VS Personal Website
Hi all! My friend and I would like to put our ministry online. She writes down poetry and would like to write whatever is on her heart. Maybe she'll also want to share photos and videos. I would like a website though. So I'd like to hear from you about the difference between blogging and sharing photos and videos, and a full-fledge Website, advantages/disadvantages. for each. Thanks! I've used wordpress.com in the past which is free. I've also used posterous.com which does have some limitations for those of us using screen readers however they can be worked around allot of very neat things can be done with it such as posting audio video files from email which are then posted as a player in the web browser. I now use wordpress self installation on my own domain on a hosted web hosting plan. - Original Message - From: Kimsan kimsans...@aol.com To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, February 21, 2012 01:00 Subject: [Blind-Computing] blogging Hi, Do we have any bloggers on here? [Blind-Computing] blogging?
Hi, I have used wordpress a couple of times and man, how confusing it is for me. What I mean is after I log in, where do I go to read the blogs I have written? How do I post a new blog? If someone cannot provide me with some sort of clarity of how to use wordpress.com for blogging, how about blogger.com? Which of the two is easier as it relates to logging in, posting a blog and locating the blogs that you have written. Any tips would be helpful and great! I am thinking about creating an account over at blogger.com but I will wait until I get some feedback as it relates to navigating through wordpress.com. Thank you. Hi, I believe about sometime Wednesday I will have my setting up a blog tutorial up on my website for download. But what I need to know is: if anyone is interested in this kind of thing is there any one who has a version of word less then 2003? I would like to make it accessible to everyone. I currently use Word XP (2002) If you want to make it accessible to a large range of potential users, you might consider saving the final document in .RTF format. That type of document can be opened by almost any word processing program, including WordPad.
