ah folks, balloons are accessible when they occur if you can immediately hit the left mouse butt keys on your computer (don't know if your on a desktop, a laptop with a desktop keyboard or a laptop keyboard) if not you should be able to find the java update in your system tray if you have display all items turned on for the tray and you go there directly after the balloon shows up. Now use your down or up arrow keys to find the update and press enter. The rest is simply the installation. Did you try the steps I wrote? It should still be there. I have updated Java before. If not, try restarting your machine and use those steps as soon as you get the message. Hi Ariel, Maryjane, Mark, Randy, Below is a tip on how to keep the balloon messages showing longer so they can be accessed with a left mouse click. Working with Balloon messages using Windows 7 If you are using windows 7 and you would like to delay the time for the windows balloon system notification to disappear, please do the following. The first thing we will need to do is access the ease of access center, which you could quickly navigate there by pressing Windows key plus the letter U. After arriving to the ease of access center, you will need to tab until you hear Use the computer without a display without the quotes and press enter. In the next dialog, press your tab key until you land on a combo box, which will ask, How long should window notification dialog boxes stay up? Use your up and down arrow keys until you land on your preferred time. After you make your selection, tab to the ok button and activate it with the space bar and you are done. HTH Take care.
