Or is it more likely that existing music would actually get closer to the writer's actual musical intent? I am the author of bagpipe.ly. Good to see someone looking over this all these years. I choose the irritating names a long time ago and used them without caring much if they represented correct terminology. I will have a thorough look at the suggested changes as soon as I can, but they do look reasonable. I am not sure about what user base we may have for bagpipe.ly, but I have had contact with some users at least. Extensive renaming of existing movements can of course easily be implemented by a convert-ly rule, but updating the user's memory of what to type to get the desired result is perhaps not quite as simple. -- Sven Axelsson ++[+ -].+..+.+.-.+... +++.-.++..++.++.... ___ bug-lilypond mailing list bug-lilypond@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond

All changes are commented with the introdutction @JO. Thank you for your careful work. It's very convenient for review to have the old lines commented out and the new lines added, along with a comment of why it's that way. In terms of us modifying the version in the lilypond distribution, it would be much easier to just have the file as it should be, with all of the wrong items eliminated and the right items included. Could you please prepare a copy of the file in that format? Thanks, Carl ___ bug-lilypond mailing list bug-lilypond@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond

If you know the basics of Git, you may provide a patch against master, so that developers can easily see what you want to change (the attached file may be ignored...). You find the information here: http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.19/Documentation/contributor/commits-and-pa tches I will be happy to submit a patch, so Oliver and Julia do not have to, if they would rather not.
