2010-05-05 Thread frank msuya

Hi Robert Meggle

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, i have gone throung the tools, the cookies
are enabled. I got the same message, even by using other browsers like Internet
Explorer.

It seems there somewhere in the code, where cookies can be enabled. The same
care2x works fine in my window xp machine with the same browsers.

2010-05-05 Thread Robert Meggle
Hi Frank,

I am using here ubuntu 9.10 / firefox and do not have such issues. Does
apache and mysql comming from ubuntu repository or from somewhere else?

I think the solution will not be found by care2x itself when the same
source code it is working under windows (probably xampp) quite well. I
would spend my attention then more to apache/php settings and maybe file
permission on the server.

Can you please send me the output of your phpinfo by private mail?

...Just create a file called phpinfo.php on /var/www/ and put the
following content:

Then call your workstation with http:///phpinfo.php and
"save" the page and send it to me.

Thanks
Robert

2010-05-05 Thread Robert Meggle
Hi Frank,

short addendum to my previous mail: This is just the case when following
scenario fit:
---
Care2x is working fine on your PC with an local xmapp, but when you
install care2x on an server and call it out from your pc again, it will
face you this kind of error.
---

If that is not the case, try to focus the local browser what you are
using.

Best wishes
 Robert

2010-05-05 Thread Tim Schofield
Hi Frank,

I seem to remember having this message once before, and the answer
wasn't that cookies were disabled. It had something to do with the
path to the sessions being wrong, or read only. Do other php programs
work fine on this server?

Thanks
Tim

Just to check that it is not a permissions problem, try to open a terminal
window (or press ALT+F2) and execute:

sudo chown -R www-data.www-data /home/care2x

# remember to replace /home/care2x
 by the path to
your own carex installation

Hi,

this has been a very old problem. If I still remember it right, the problem
lies on the
php configuration. Check the cookie handling config. Check also the apache
config
regarding cookie handling.

Frank Msuya has installed Care2x on Ubuntu 10.4 and i think it has the
latest PHP. I am conviced it is something to do with PHP default
settings on its configuration file.

Re: [Care2002-developers] cookies

2010-05-08 Thread Tim Schofield
This is a good point. 10.04 runs php version 5.3. I lknow Gjergj got
the main line working with 5.3, but the East African version (at least
the one I was seeing today) still needs updating to work with 5.3. In
order to start the work of bringing versions together we should look
at applying Gjergj's patches to the East African version.
