The link to the Cisco Support page that is available to you on the lab is
here:

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/psa/default.html?mode=prod&level0=278875240

For LAN QOS, navigate to the 3750 IOS Configuration Guide

Products>Switches>LAN Switches-Access>Catalyst 3750 Series
Switches>Configuration Guides>Catalyst 3750 Switch Software Configuration
Guide, go to the "Configuring QOS" link and it will have everything you need
to know.

For WAN QOS, navigate to the router IOS configuration guide.

Products>Cisco IOS and NX-OS Software>Cisco IOS>Cisco IOS Software Release
12.4 Family>Cisco IOS Software Releases 12.4T>Configuration Guides> Click on
the link for the Cisco IOS Quality of Service Solutions Configuration Guide

You will also have a link on your desktop to the QOS SRND and CUCM SRND.
Links below:

Hope this helps

It seems like something to do with the Authentication URL in the service,
anyone can shed some light on this?

2011-06-17 Thread sandeep.raman
Hi,

I am trying to achieve the CFUR with FOR and BY fields to show as below:

Forward: 5001(HQPH1)
For: +19723033001 (3...)
By: +19723033001 (3...)

My configuration is as below:

3001 directory page on CUCM has CFUR: +19723033001 and CSS:CFUR_CSS
Route Pattern: +1.972303001, PREDOT

I have ensured Serial ingterfaces at both HQ and BR1 has "isdn outgoing display
ie " and "isdn outgoing ie redirecting-number" configured.
I have not done any Voice translations on SRST to achieve this functionality.
On the SRST phone i do not see the Number displaying as intended. Can anyone
please suggest how to achieve this solution.

Thanks

One other gotcha is that the name of the phone needs to be +19723033001.
This is default when a phone registers SRST.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CFUR FOR and BY Fields

2011-06-17 Thread cisco cisco
To achieve that in the field for and by u must have configured the external
phone number mask in the phone registered to cucm exactally as u want it to
appear on the for and the by.

Of course you shouldn't have edited the name in the ephone-dn on the SRST (
which if you don't edit anything takes what u had configured in the external
phone number mask of the phone and so makes appear what u want )and u
must also have on the gateway on CUCM where u forward the call the "display
ie delivery" checked as well as " Redirecting number IE delivery - outbound
" if it's mgcp , isdn outgoing display-ie and isdn outgoing ie
redirecting-number if H323.

You can also debug isdn q931 messages to see if the redirecting number is being
sent / received... In theory, telco could block.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] NTP Concept

2011-06-17 Thread sandeep.raman
Hi ,

If the question says HQ-RTR should be synchronised with external NTP server.

CUCM should be synchronised with HQ-RTR's Loopback0 or VLAN interface.

My config on HQ RTR looks like :

ntp server external ntp server

ntp source loopback0

clock timezone <>

clock summertime <> recurring

For BR1 RTR there is no mention in the question about wherei should synchronise
the NTP, should i synchronise it with external NTP?

Lets assume for BR1 i configure NTP as HQ RTR's Loopback 0 interface.Should i
configure "ntp source loopback 0" ?

For BR 2 RTR there is no mention in the question about where i should
synchronise the NTP, should i synchronise it with external NTP or can i
synchronise it with the HQ RTR loopback IP?

Need For NTP master on HQ-RTR is as below:

If question says i need to configure NTP as HQ RTR loopback for CUE

When i configure HQ-RTR (loopback 0) as the NTP server for CUE module, i would
have to configure HQ RTR as an NTP master right?

Can i configure CUE NTP as CME IP address, if yes in what instances can i
configure it?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] NTP Concept

2011-06-17 Thread Cristobal Priego
if they don't tell you to configure NTP on Branch 1 is up to you
if they're saying to source it from the loopback then issue the command
ntp source loopback0 if they don't tell you anything is up to you

you can use the CUE as an NTP, indeed is the default
you can also use the HQ-RTR as an NTP source, in that case the ntp master
command will be needed

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] "mwi sip" under ephone-dn

What's the purpose of "mwi sip" under ephone-dn?

In my home lab, I have the following:

sip-ua
 mwi-server ipv4:192.168.2.253 expires 3600 port 5060 transport udp
unsolicited

MWI works fine WITHOUT "mwi sip" under ephone-dn.

Why "mwi sip" is needed?

Thanks!

Apologize for the questions, because never try your setup before.

How do you translate the mgcp incoming 1999 to 1998? Do you have any
 translation?
If not, how are you going to match the DNIS#

 My understanding was:

PSTN IN --> mgcp gw --> route pattern --> h323 gw --> match incoming
mva# (service mva configure) dp-->match outgoing mva# dp --> UCM

If i call to MVA route-pattern number [1999] from HQ phone or PSTN
phone then i do not hear "Welcome to Cisco Unfied Communications".
 debug
shows the correct MVA dial-peer hits on BR1-GW.

There is no transcoder configured on HQ or BR1 device pool. To
resolve my issue, if transcoder needs to be configured on HQ or BR1

 Here is the configuration:
