Ad-hoc supports up to 8 participants max, meetme supports up to 32 participants max (if all are G711). When doing meetme, you can configure multiple ephone-dn¹s with the same number to scale the number of connections you need. Depending on your IOS / CME version, you may have to do this with dual-lines instead of octo-lines (see the 1st link below). Before CME 8, you really can¹t create a meetme conference that is always available someone has to initiate the meetme using a softkey on an IP phone. In CME 8, you can create an ³unlocked meetme², but it is ³always available² without any password. There is no meetme password checking in CME. I¹ve seen a solution where someone created a UCCX script to have the call come into UCCX and then be transferred to the unlocked meetme if the user inputs the password that the script expects. Dan, you're right we need a dn that needs for conferencing. without this dn, it didnt work. now my concern is: does this conference can only merge 8 active calls or is it capable of taking more calls,since it is a otcal dn??? And, also can you advice how to set up a conference number on this router, so that users can dial into this number and put the passcode for conference into this router. your help is much appreciated.
