Re: New Years Resolution

2015-01-04 Thread Larry Lyons

Not here any more, but noticed your posting and thought you'd like this:

http://store.neurosky.com/products/brainwave-starter-kit

Basic EEG kit for desktop and mobile.

I've never cared for new years activities or celebrations...till now. I'm
making my first new years resolution.

I resolve to be more active. I'm going to write more, talk more, and maybe
even get to a conference. I'm going to create and release, teach and
answer, talk and listen. I'm going to take what I've left fallow and grow
it bigger and better.
I'm going to buy 2 1 gig memory chips for my computer so I can run XP
properly.
I'm going to eventually buy a new computer
I'm going to get enough work/whatever to pay off my debts and then buy
myself an EEG set so I can work on my focus, concentration, and drive to do
work.
I'm going to get all the knowledge and research in my head out to others
through articles, examples, etc.
I'm going to do and be better. I'm not going to let anything get me down or
hold me back.

So now that I've defined the almost impossible for my resolution, what do
you resolve for the new year? ;)

Awesome, I'll have to give this a listen. I've been pretty open about it on
the list but it might get lost in traffic now and then. But I've been in at
least one ethical, non-monogamous relationship for the last 20 years and
regularly participate in a variety of sex-positive groups, including recent
panels on kinky parenting and teaching various bdsm classes. In short, I'm
a big, loud, perverted slut. Y'all probably knew that, but I like to tell
others that they aren't alone and I'm really happy to celebrate your kink.

Cheers,
Judah

2014 was a tough year for me, best described as a long hilly drive with
kids in the back. There have been good times but also some pretty rough
times. My resolution is to do everything I can to make 2015 better,
fiscally and physically.

That sounds nebulous, but most resolutions are. I actually started well
before Christmas but am making it a resolution to continue.

Until Later!

Amen to that. The past 2 years have really sucked for me and the past 10
have been pretty rough financially...I finally got a permanent gig that I
started 1 December (no more contract work YAY), so things are turning
around finally. I will have that financial stability that I need and
actually get some of those mythical benefits I hear so much about.

Re: New Years Resolution

2014-12-31 Thread Maureen

My main plan for 2015 is to travel back to California, empty 500+
square feet of storage and downsize my possessions to what will fit in
a small RV, which will become my home for the foreseeable future.

I managed in 2014 to meet most of my personal goals, and after years
of being in poor health, I am finally, with the exception of the dead
kidney, in good shape again. I have lost a total of 171 pounds, and I
am now only 20 pounds from my goal weight. So losing that and staying
healthy is also a 2015 goal.

I am finishing my music project, and hope to in 2015 to finish two of
my book projects.

I also hope to generate a enough money from the sale of my possessions
and from working on a couple of new client projects to be completely
debt free by the end of the year. With no mortgage, rent or
utilities, I think it is doable

On the professional side, I am transitioning my business from
consulting or development gigs that require me to be onsite at the
client to building sites and tools that will allow me to work remotely
from the RV. Then I will be free to travel and be where I wish to be
when I wish to be there. Freedom...and lots of music festivals.
