Spamcop was once golden, then based on some rather draconian behavior (like blacklisting a domain merely mentioned in an email's text... The U.S. D.O.T. got listed for awhile on spamcop, for example, as a GEICO spam listed auto recalls from DOT.gov in its spammage) a lot of admins went from trusting them implicity to not at all. Based on the list traffic I subscribe to they seem to have cleaned up to the point where they're back on the 'useful' list, but nothing like their original sainted-mother status. Since I have moved exclusively to Bayesian filtering during this period blacklists are something I only read about. > -good to know, thanks. I suppose you could argue that this is part of why there is a cfmailparam tag... so that coders can write a proper email message... and it should not be so that people think cfmail alone will do the whole job. Blame MM for not getting the word out on that score. >>This is exactly what I was getting at above. Why in the world does CFMX not include them then??? I put my real css block at the bottom of the email within the content div I'm styling. Basing styles on body doesn't work and css can be stripped out if in the head. See this article and especially the forum responses with tips: http://alistapart.com/articles/cssemail/ "After a couple of rounds, I moved forward with embedded styles. This turned out to be my first step to success. (In further support of embedded styles, it is important to note that AOL versions 6.0+ will reject any email linking to external style sheets. Yes: reject, bounce, slam the door in your virtual face.)" Also worth noting on topic that css cuts down on spam flags. Nice bonus! What happened is I ended up creating a series of about half a dozen similar tags a few years back -- one after another. Each one a new, improved and *cough* better version that the one before. CFX_Execute was the last one created in that series, and not surprisingly, I consider all the ones that came before it as deprecated. I believe I created an updated version of CFX_EXECUTE tag just a month or two ago per someone's request one weekend. Spent a few hours debugging a few outstanding issues with it. I don't recall whether I uploaded it before the server the site is on went all unstable or not though. Hmm. CFX_Execute was created, FYI, to replace CFEXECUTE (or add the feature to earlier versions of CF that didn't have it in the first place.) As Kev said, the DLL's *should* be in the zip itself already (though they may be down in a folder called "Release". Don't recall exactly.) SOT: How to organize projects in Eclipse
I would appreciate it if some of you experienced Eclipse users would give me some advice on how to organize folders/files/projects under eclipse. Because of its Java orientation, Java-language projects appear to be treated in a special way that does not apply to other languages: I am used to structuring my CF/ASP/JSP/Perl/PHP code something like: ClientA_Project ---Admin -Application.cfm or equivalent -DB Creation & Maintenance Source Data Create/Populate/Convert Programs & CFCs -Validation Testing Semi-Automatic Validation programs & CFCs Source Data Results Data ---Support --Flash fla --OSA scripts --Java source ---www (in sub folders as necessary) --Application.cfm or equivalent --Production Programs and CFC's --Style Sheets --_javascript_ source --images --Flash,swf --Java applets * * * ClientB_Project * * * Then I have a series of non-client or project related folders such as Examples myCFMXapps myJSPapps myJavaapps myPearlapps CustomTags UtilityPrograms I have no problem putting a program, regardless of language, in any directory or subdirectory With eclipse, it doesn't appear that I have that flexibility. To gain many of the benefits, Java programs must be in a Java Project which is created at the highest eclipse dir level What if I have a project for a client that is mostly CFML, but does contain a few Java (or other language) programs -- it doesn't seem logical to promote these project parts to a top-level eclipse Java project? Some of my utility programs include parts written in several languages, it makes sense to keep these all together in a sub-folder, rather than promote the Java piece to a high-level Java project, or even promote the sub-folder to a Java-Project? How do others who use eclipse, Java, CF and other languages organize their files? RE: Displaying Results in Columns
Hi Jillian: The tutorials use the currentRow variable to determine where to end the current row and create the new row. When you're grouping, you (as you realize) can't use the currentRow var since it's not going to be incremental anymore. What you'd need to do is initialize a variable to 0, and manually increment it for each iteration of the . Use that var MOD 2 as opposed to currentRow MOD 2 and you should be fine. Something like: #foo.data# The above code uses the variables.endrow variable in place of where you would 'normally' use queryname.currentrow in 'non-grouped' output. Hope that helps (or at the very least, doesn't confuse the issue worse) :) Charlie -Original Message- From: Jillian Carroll [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, July 04, 2004 11:10 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Displaying Results in Columns Charlie, Thank you for the links... but I'm still stuck. RE: Insert row into middle of existing query
Does cf's "query of query" support sql "union"? If so you could probably use that to create a new query from the old one that had the new record sorted to the correct position (assuming you could define the sort order using the fields in the query). Then put the new query into your session variable. This is pretty much the same as copying the query by hand but hopefuly it could be done with less code (but probably not faster in execution time, if that matters to you). From: Burns, John D [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Fri 7/2/2004 2:37 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Insert row into middle of existing query You'd probably have to copy the query object to another object and move all of the rows that are after the row you're wanting to add down 1 space and insert the row you want above. The main problem is that the order of the query matters since I am using the group attribute of cfoutput. The query needs to be ordered by date. The QueryAddRow function can add a row to the end of the query, which means I need to take the extra step of reording the query by date. When I try to reorder the query using a QoQ with an order by clause, I get the error: "Error casting an object of type to an incompatible type. This usually indicates a programming error in Java, although it could also mean you have tried to use a foreign object in a different way than it was designed. RE: beta fckeditor out
FCKEditor is one I've used - shows a lot of promise. But does it produce correct XHTML? (i.e. lower case tags, correct line breaks with the close slash <.br /> etc) The last few versions haven't. In fact it's changed valid XHTML into invalid by changing all the case characters to upper case. I'm still looking for a choice of WYSIWYG editors that will produce valid XHTML. Up till now I have a list of zero.
