RE: Multi-part server push file download with CFML
This is possible in ColdFusion, but I had to dip down into the Java HTTPServletResponse object to accomplish it. The kicker is, it only appears to work in FireFox. I'll write up a blog post on it tonight. ~Brad Original Message Subject: Multi-part server push file download with CFML From: Ian Skinner Date: Wed, May 13, 2009 3:55 pm To: cf-talk I got curious about this functionality from a question I saw on another forum. "Loading" options when using bind?
Hey gang - Been tinkering with the bind options on the etc. bits today. Works great. A lot less code/hassle than doing it using Prototype/etc., which is what I've been doing the past couple of years. But - the one thing I'm not finding any good info on, is how to present the user with some sort of "loading" display. With my current code, I've got a div set up with my loading content, and in the JS functions, I pop that div's visibility on/off as the data request starts/finishes. Is there any way to replicate this sort of thing using the bind functionality? ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? Re: cross side scripting hotfix for CFMX 6.1 not working
Hi Dave, Sorry mate but it says that for the server configuration however we are using the J2EE configuration with jrun. Point 5 under 'ColdFusion MX 6.1 - J2EE Configuration with JRun' in the above link says: 'Examine the ColdFusion MX Administrator System Information page and confirm that hf64586_611.jar shows up in the Version section like 6,1,0 hf64586_611. Note: You will not see this jar in the Java Class Path because the hot fix jar is being loaded in the Coldfusion Class Path.' Either way I guess it is not listed in the class path. We are on JVM Java version 1.4.2. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. Thanks Regards, Vineet ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? RE: OT (maybe): Display additional info from a Select before Form is Submitted
If there aren't many categories, load all the extra info into the page in the place you need it to appear and hide it by default. Then on change of the drop down, show the relevant info. With jQuery: $(function() { $("#cats").change(function() { $(".catInfo").hide(); $("#catInfo" + jQuery(this).val()).show(); }); }); .catInfo { display: none; } One Two Three Cat into 1 Cat into 2 Cat into 3 Adrian > -Original Message- > From: Les Mizzell [mailto:lesm...@bellsouth.net] > Sent: 13 May 2009 18:23 > To: cf-talk > Subject: OT (maybe): Display additional info from a Select before Form > is Submitted > > > For a select box (simplified): > > > >#getCATS.catNAME# > > > > I need to display additional info for each selection when the selection > is made - before the form is submitted. > So if you've got > Record 1 > Record 2 > Record 3 > ...and somebody selects "Record 2" - I need the contents of an > additional field ("cat_comments") to immediately display under the > select before the form is submitted... > > Still scratching my head. Are you on CF 8? If so one way to do it is use CFdiv and have it call a template or bind to a CFC to display the comments. #getCATS.catNAME# > > OR On Wed, May 13, 2009 at 1:23 PM, Les Mizzell wrote: > > For a select box (simplified): > > > > #getCATS.catNAME# > > > > I need to display additional info for each selection when the selection > is made - before the form is submitted. > So if you've got > Record 1 > Record 2 > Record 3 > ...and somebody selects "Record 2" - I need the contents of an > additional field ("cat_comments") to immediately display under the > select before the form is submitted... > > Still scratching my head. OT (maybe): Display additional info from a Select before Form is Submitted
For a select box (simplified): #getCATS.catNAME# I need to display additional info for each selection when the selection is made - before the form is submitted. So if you've got Record 1 Record 2 Record 3 ...and somebody selects "Record 2" - I need the contents of an additional field ("cat_comments") to immediately display under the select before the form is submitted... Still scratching my head. Can somebody point me in the correct direction to pull this off? ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? Re: CF 8 Hosting recommendations
I've used Viviotech since sometime in 2006 I've had both VPS and dedicated server with them. Jordan and crew have always been great. I have no complaints. see if using GLatLng instead of GPoint helps: var point = new GLatLng(#dLatitude#, #dLongitude#); (use same in your centerAndZoom() function call) also, i do not remember why now, but i had to use map = new google.maps.Map2(...) instead of new GMap2(...) to make it work... Re: Help With Regular Expressions
I ended up using Replace to change ../geos/displayCountryData.cfm?countryCode=AS to ../geos/AS. Then I used REMatch("../geos/[A-Z]{2}",...) to find all occurrences of this resulting pattern. I then processed each match in the array REMatch returned with Replace(DBText, REMatchArrayEntry, REMatchArrayEntry & ".html", "ALL"). Each REMatchArrayEntry has the pattern ../geos/[A-Z]{2}. I'm sure there is a simpler way to handle this. But, this works. >Can you provide one more of the actual links? I'm going to assume that the >folderName string is not actually 'folderName'.
