No More Data To Read error again- SQL Server
Has there been any movement on the JDBC No More Data to Read error?I need to demo an application today and when I moved it from the testing server to the production server everything worked for the first few screens and then blammo, I got the No More Data To Read error from then on in. NOTHING was changed because I can see at 9:35 data was saved and at 10am I couldn't save anything. The exact same code runs without error on my testing server connecting to the test database.I can't connect the test server to the live database due to firewall issues. This is a remote server running CFMX 6.1, IIS, and SQL Server.I can't update or downgrade any drivers and hell, it worked this morning, so why should I change the drivers? The drivers are the same ones that worked earlier.I initially had this problem on an Oracle db in Oct/Nov and people said it would be solved by an updater which I never saw.Now I'm getting the same error on a SQL Server box! What I find amazing is that the error showed up out of nowhere and now I can't insert or update anything throughout the whole site. The only change was some DNS information. Any tips or tricks on this one?I'm really angry and pretty much stumped. Thanks! Don [Todays Threads] [This Message] [Subscription] [Fast Unsubscribe] [User Settings]
[Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read.
I am running CFMX 6.0, no updates, on Apache 1.3.27 and using Oracle 9i on the back end.I am getting intermittent 500 Errors: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [EMAIL PROTECTED] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. [Todays Threads] [This Message] [Subscription] [Fast Unsubscribe] [User Settings]
Installing Dreamweaver mx 6.1 on machine running cf 5 server
Unbeknownst to me a coworker was running a version of cf 5 server on a desktop machine. When he installed CF Studio MX on that machine it wiped out the CF 5 installation completely and created a strange directory called /cfide_old. Has anyone seen this before?I know only a few people would be running the client and server tools on the same box. Encryption on unix
Our Unix admins over here are completely overworked. I have not worked directly with this previously, so I have to ask the CF multitudes... I used the cf_crypt on an old windows server. It used a dll file to handle the decryption part. Is there a similar downloadable custom tag that utilizes the standard unix encryption? I have a Perl program that does that- written by someone else. Does anyone have CF code that uses the standard unix encryption algorithm? wikipedia
A Perl-writing friend is obsessed over his personal wikipedia. He gave me many links about downloading and running a perl wiki knowledge base, but it would be so much easier to run a CF one. Couldn't find one on the Exchange. Does anyone here know of a freeware knowledge base in CF? Anyone using Jakarta Struts for cfmx?
Just wanted to thank everyone for giving me their opinion on Jakarta Struts. Of course when you're dealing with a variety of developers at different skill levels working for different contractors on different projects it is enticing to want to slowly move into something like Java instead of jumping. This is doubly true when only a small fraction of the applications I work on require high-level coding. I have not made a final decision, but I'm leaning away from a published framework after all the research. Dave Watts and I had been going back and forth on this framework question- of course he is a huge proponent of Fusebox in all its incarnations- so it was helpful to get some input from Struts users. Anyone using Jakarta Struts for cfmx?
Is anyone using Jakarta Struts for CFMX and can they comment toward its use? I am looking for a published development framework that would be flexible enough for development in, plus allow our team to investigate new technologies outside of CFMX -I like what I read of Struts' integration of Java technology but I haven't implemented it yet. I'm working with some staff for whom integration of existing Java libraries would be a stretch and others who could handle it easily, but it would require ramp-up time and education. I am hoping to find a framework that would allow me to point new developers to existing materials so I would not have to write up an entire code like I do book. I am also hoping that it would add something on top of CFMX and not merely reorganize CFMX without adding anything. How was your: Ease of development and organization Integration with Java for non-Java programmers Success rate in getting users to adapt THANKS! Spyrus Rosetta Executive Suite- anyone use it?
Anyone use Spyrus's Rosetta Executive Suite for secure CAC logins in their enterprise? Any advice for sharing variables with ColdFusion?
