Hmmm, is something up with the list?

Cause usually I get atleast one large (40K) digest a day, usually a few
small ones too.

But yesterday I had no emails, today I get digest #38 with only one
message. last Tuesday (list time) I got three small digests (biggest was
6K)...

Seems the list is a lot slower at the moment for some strange reason...

Yeah, I think we had that on a development box with CFAS 4.0.1 on it. I'm

 reformatting the

I also seem to remember that if you stop the RDS service before shutting
down or rebooting the server, you don't get that message. I'll ask the
Network Administrator if he has any more info on it.

think that there is only one subcategory under another category.

If anyone else is working with MS Access you've probably had the same
annoying experience!!

I often have to swap backed up databases (.mdb files) and if I've been
using the old database that I want to copy over -- there is always a damn
.ldb (file / record locking file) in the directory that prevents me from
overwriting the old database.

I know how to cure this problem on the web (make a dummy query to a
nonexistent table in the same database) but that technique doe not seem to
work on my hard drive? I usually end up, annoyed as hell, having to re-boot
to be able to delete the damn thing off.

Does anybody know of a simpler way to dispatch this pesky little .ldb file
-- without rebooting?

Thanks,

Dru

Re: Mapping literally

Products from MapInfo, http://www.mapinfo.com/, work for us. MapXtreme is
the more costly product but you can do what you want with MapXcite to
handle the 'displaying' of the data and MapInfo to create the map. You end
up with a static map onto which variable data can be placed. If your data
is static, you may only need MapInfo. The people at MapInfo are very nice
and helpful.

Numbers onto a Map

Need to add numbers, from a query result, onto a map of the USA. The query
result consists of 2 values per record, a city ID number and a quantity
number. Each time the query result is generated, the number of records
will not change, due to the list of city ID numbers being constant. And
there is a table available with the X and Y map coordinates of each city.
Is there a CF tag or a external piece of software that can be used to put
the quantity numbers on the map?
