CF Studio Error: The Connection With The Server Was Reset

2002-02-07 Thread E C list

Hi Everyone,

I continue to have this problem with ColdFusion Studio
5 not being able to save to a particular server with
RDS. When I try to save, I IMMEDIATELY get an error
message "The Connection With The Server Was Reset".
Here are a few peculiar things about it:

1) I can open files and view databases on this server
with no trouble.

2) I have tried deleting and recreating the server
with a new name, same thing still happens.

3) A collegue of mine isn't having the same problem
with the same server.

4) The message comes up immediately and doesn't seem
to depend on what my RDS timeout settings are.

5) I've restarted my computer and the server.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: CF Studio Error: The Connection With The Server Was Reset

2002-02-03 Thread Bill Davidson

I can attest to Eron's problem - we have several set up the exact same way..
I am not seeing the problem with either of my two CF workstations, but I
know he is having the problem with our boxes... VERY strange - we didn't
change anything.

Any help is much appreciated.

With the same server?

I would try deleting this RDS, and try resetting it up again. Might fix
it might not, but it is strange that you seem to get it as soon as you
hit the save button then.

2001-05-16 Thread Owens, Howard

What version of Studio do you have?

I bet if you check out the Knowledge Base at Allaire.com, and search for the
error you are receiving you'll find a fix.

Some versions of Studio need patches, which can be download from Allaire.com
(and found through the Knowledge Base).

It means the memory leak in Studio has used up all the available
resources. Close some other programs and exit studio. I usually reboot,
but it's not always necessary. I really, really wish they would fix this bug.

CF Studio: "Error loading type Library/DLL"

2000-10-17 Thread Owen Leonard

I know this subject has come up before, but I didn't see any solutions for
it. I'm using CF Studio 4.5.1 on Windows 95. When I click the Database tab
in the Resource Window and try to choose 'localhost' or 'Add RDS Server...',
I get the error message,

"Error loading type Library/DLL."

The Allaire Forum is full of people reporting the same problem, but there
are no solutions posted. Has anyone come across this problem and found a
solution?

Thanks,

CFSWITCH (or obscure Studio error message)

2000-09-20 Thread Peter Tilbrook

Earlier Nancy Capitanio mentioned hassles she was having with CFSWITCH
producing an error:

"After I type in anything -- from cfoutput to cfswitch -- I get a status
message in red at the bottom of the screen that says "The tag name:
"CFSWITCH" not found in currently active versions. I assume that's part of
the Beta product and will not appear in the final release. I'm sure other
people have already brought this to someone's attention."

I'm assuming this is a CF Studio message and not a template generated error.
Her solution was simple:

"I did a search of the beta forum and found that this problem arises because
the validation settings don't automatically include ColdFusion, only HTML.
Options/Settings/Validation; I checked ColdFusion. When I did that, the
error messages went away. I would have thought that ColdFusion would have
been set by default -- Bug 17975!"

Might be worth checking what your settings are at the moment - especially if
doing cross browser compatibility testing (if this is even possible :)).

Cheers!

As a general rule, when you can't run an application as a non-administrative
user within NT, you've got some sort of Access Control List (ACL) problem.
You might be able to fix this by figuring out what operation is failing when
you run Studio as a non-administrative user, then give that user rights to
perform the operation. Of course, that's easier for me to say than for you
to do. However, it can be done, with a little patience. You'll need to
monitor registry and file access. There are tools for this available at
http://www.winternals.com/products/monitoringtools.shtml; unfortunately,
they're not free, but if you administer a lot of NT systems, they're well
worth the $69. The guys who built these tools are simply incredible; check
out the other things they've got while you're there.

Cold Fusion Studio Error

2000-03-27 Thread Jacob

I installed Cold Fusion Studio 4.5 on a Windows NT Workstation. Of course
I had to logon on as an administrator for the installation. I did the
installation and reset the computer.

When I logon as an administrator, I can use Cold Fusion Studio without any
problems. If I logon as a user, without administrative rights, I get the
following error:

Failed to create key .vtx

I can go into Cold Fusion Studio, but can not access any pull down
menus. I have tried upgrading to Cold Fusion Studio 4.5a, but with no luck.

Any suggestions...

Thank You
Jacob
