I will try the next time to get pics of this car. It is a normal looking USA SS chevelle except for the speedo. The car was previously owned by a cousin and he was the original owner. The car has an original 1966 Kansas Title and is in the original owners (cousin)name. He never transfered the title and parked the car on the farm after the tags ran out. I am sure it is setting by the barn with the 67 SS car still. I offered the guy 5,000.00 cash and was turned down. Oh well, again this car has to be somewhat rare today. I would think. After all, it's an old car and people do all sorts of wacky things for various reasons. It's certainly possible that it was swapped out. The person who did it may not even have realized that it was metric, or maybe didn't care because the price was right. RE: [Chevelle-List] MC vs Chevelle
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List The first generation MCs used the short wheelbase frame similar to the 2dr Chevelles. Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List If you're at all interested in the Dynomax headers, please read this. I spoke with the company that manufactures these headers. They will soon be discontinued for the '68/'69 Chevelle due to problems with how they fit. They actually recommended that I not buy their headers, and that I should look for another brand. Apparently they hit the frame and/or the firewall. Re: [Chevelle-List] sway bar front
Hi Guys, I bought a Hellwig front sway bar [1 1/8 " for my 65 el cmino to compliment the global west front end pieces. I notice that the spacing between the two mounting bolt holes is much greater on the aftermarket sway bar. Am I supposed to drill one hole on each side to install? Also, for the same car I have a pair of leather buckets out of a 2000 impala along with the shoulder belts. I can`t get the belt to release on the tensioner. Is it possible that the inertia device locks permantly once the car is in a wreck? Any help appreciated. thanx bob Myers NC
