[Chevelle-list] Cheapest Gas Prices
Enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area. It's updated every evening. You will see a map of your area and then scroll down and you will get a listing of gas prices in your area with addresses and brands starting with the cheapest and going up. http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=src=""> Worked for me, and it's msn.com, so I assume its not a scam.

Re: [Chevelle-list] Headers
Given that I have a long water pump and all modern brackets on my 1958 block, it seems like all of the SBC brackets are interchangeable. I don't know of any significant change from a 1968 350 to a 1970 350 in terms of brackets, but I plan to put one on my '70. That's a little ways down the road though. Right now it doesnt even have an engine in it. By get rid of, if you mean free then, no. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 26, 2006 3:32 PM To: The Chevelle Mailing List Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Headers John will that bracket fit a 1970. it say's it's for 64 to 68. and also do you have one to get rid of, or are you saying i can buy one from Old car network

[Chevelle-list] Console with a Hurst Shifter
I'm wondering if you can use the old horseshoe style console with a Hurst shifter? I have a pistol grip style Hurst shifter. I want to add a console. Any of you that have the console that will fit a 72 Chevelle, is their a plate that can be removed and a new one modified to fit in it's place so I could use the Hurst Shifter with the console? I don't have a console, and have never looked at the old style, to see if it could be modified for my use!

Re: [Chevelle-list] Console with a Hurst Shifter
Are you talking about a 4 speed or an automatic? A Hurst 4 speed shifter will fit in the same factory console as the factory Muncie shifter. Re: [Chevelle-list] Drive shaft yoke!
Larry the big difference in yokes is the number of splines. Muncie 4spd 70 and up take 32 spline yoke instead of standard 27 spline output. Same yoke as some Turbo 400's. All 26 spline input Muncies take 32 spline output and all 10 spline input trans take 27 output. Length may vary according to driveshaft etc. Some 400 Turbo's had bolt on yoke for driveshaft. It bolted to end of mainshaft. Hope some of this helps. By the way what is the length of the drive shaft you have from center of u-joint to center of u-joint? If right length I need to talk to you about taking it off your hands. I have a driveshaft laying around with a yoke still on it. Not sure what year it came off of, or what tranny was used with it, but it came with my 66 basket case. It's too short for my car with a big block and 4 speed. Anybody have an idea are all yokes interchangeable with Chevelles? Dan, what's your engine/tranny combo? If we can determine that my yoke will work, you can have it for shipping cost. Thanks for the info John. I'll save it in my save folder. As to the driveshaft length, I will measure in the morning and let you know. I have a non-smoking single bed room reserved at the Hampton for $89 a night. I'm going to stay at the Quality Inn, so the room's available. Email me off list if you want it. You should be able to get a cheaper rate at the Red Roof if you book it online. I got the rate for $39 a night. Tom
