Another good source for engine codes is The Complete Chevrolet V-8 Engine
Code Pocket Guide 1955-1991 known as "The Lime Book" by Edward W. J. McComas.
This book covers ALL engine codes for Chevrolet
V-8s from 1955-1991. I found the same answer as Dale did;CGV is listed as a
454, 1970 Chevrolet, 345hp, manual transmission, LS-4.

Just an update for you guys.

We were finally able to bring my daughter home tonight from the
Hospital. We spent 8 days there and that was long enough. She has
really responded to her treatments. They think that they have the
luekemia stopped from making any more new cells. Now it is just a
matter of stopping the cells that are already doing the damage. I
wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. Reading the
emails in the hospital really helped to lighting our spirits. If any
one is interested, my cousin set up a website for Emma (my daughter) and
it has been wonderful for us to log onto and read what everybody has
said. We also get it updated as often as there is any new news. Here
is the websitehttp://www.caringbridge.org/visit/emmalangstraat check
it out if ya want.

Thank you for ALL the thoughts, prayers, and emails. They have meant
the world!

[Chevelle-list] best self-install kit?

2008-01-04 Thread J. Brady
My '66 has a Flowmaster kit that I installed on it
around 2003, and sadly I "rigged" it and keep smelling
fumes. I listened to someone who told me I should
install the system and have y/lake pipes in it, and
looking back I wish I'd never done it.

I was going to just take it somewhere and have the
system replaced, but a friend swears that if I got a
system shipped to the house, he could help me install
it "right" this time. I currently have Hooker comp
headers on the 327, and am wondering what header-back
systems the folks here would recommend, if any.

Thanks,

Jim
