Re: [Chevelle-list] Car Collection
Great assembly of cars. It is now open as a museum in Punta Gorda Florida. They also have a web site. Google Rick Treworgy and it should show up. Its located a few miles from my brothers house. He went was impressed in most respects. He even bought an annual pass he's cheap (as me). On Tue, May 5, 2009 at 10:45 AM, Johann Grobler johann.grob...@absamail.co.za wrote: Great Collection. Beautiful cars. But, in a way, it's sad. They will sit there, not driven and enjoyed, just collecting dust and fueling the mans ego, and then he or someone else, will take them to Barrett Jackson, and sell then to another collector, who will let them sit - like a 401K. [Chevelle-list] Chevelle calendars
Continuing on my quest to clean out the house, every time I think I'm done finding car stuff, I trip across something else. This time, I found a pile of car calendars I was keeping around at one point because each one had at least 1 nice photo of a Chevelle. If anyone wants them, they're FREE for the price of postage (I weighed one at work today on the US postal scale it said flat rate $3; if you want more than 1, I can figure out what that would be). Here they are: - Car and Driver 1999: 70 LS6 red with black stripes - Gm Goodwrench Service 2000: 70 SS 350 green convertible with white top and white stripes - Car and Driver 2004: 69 SS 396 red convertible with black top and black stripes - Precision Tune 1997: 71 burgundy 1st claimed, 1st served, Jim H. Re: [Chevelle-list] BB Motor Mount Question
Did you change the frame mounts? Or did you move them back? Which engine mounts are you using? Try using 66 BB frame mounts and poly engine mounts. Year One http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?cat=0 BG101 Front frame mount brackets for 1966-1967 Chevelle big-block V8 models. $99.95 -Original Message- From: chevelle-list-boun...@chevelles.net [mailto:chevelle-list-boun...@chevelles.net] On Behalf Of Larry Williams Sent: Thursday, April 30, 2009 5:20 PM To: Chevelle List Cc: John Wotila; Steve Miller Subject: [Chevelle-list] BB Motor Mount Question In the process of sticking the BB in my 65 Chevelle, and the front engine mounts don't line up. The new engine has a Moroso pan #20412. The Jegs catalog says it fits Big Block Chevy engines (except Gen V and Gen VI) in most chassis except 1962-67 Chevy II, V8 Vega/Monza, and 1955-57 Chevy. The front engine mount is more than a 1 back from the stock location, and the pan is against the rear of the cross member. When I switched from SB to BB I do not recall changing the front mounts, but I may be wrong. Is there another engine mount available. Has anyone run across this problem? Larry Williams
Re: [Chevelle-list] Car Collection
I wonder how many of those cars were on their way to the bone yard before heĀ acquired them? Has anyone looked beyond the glitter to see how this man came upon many of these cars? Seems to me having them sitting in a warehouse is better than sitting in a scrap yard. [Chevelle-list] Need a car looked at.
Hey guys, I am thinking of buying a 1967 Camaro in Coxs Creek Ky. and I need to have someone look at it for me. It needs a total restoration, I just need to know if its worth the asking price. I will pay your gas and expenses (If any). I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Dan
