Re: [Chevelle-List] Global West rear trailing arm
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Brad, I just love hearing good things about the global west set up. I bought and installed the whole set up including the 12" brakes, tubular upper control arms, rear tubular lowers, del a lum bushings front and rear and I am using an AGR steering box. The pieces are in my 65 elky which is not yet finished. I`m using a 383 small block w. 700R4, 3.31 posi rear and can barely stand it until it`s finished. I have to keep telling myself to take my time. I would love to hear more about chevelles using the global west setup particularly about handling impressions and experiances. Can you share more? Anyone else? Please I`m dying here. thanx, bob Myers - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have the full negative roll front end (tubular arms, 11" F-body brakes, beefy springs (maybe the big block or race springs), 1 1/8 sway bar, and Koni adjustable shocks; and in back I have my 1967 untouched springs and upper arms along with GW lower tubular arm and Koni shocks. I've been at Willow Springs race track with the Chevelle and the car felt great. A very slight understeer, but fixable with the gas pedal. I did a self timed lap and got 1:48, which is an 83 mph average. Speeds in Turn 2 (a high speed right hand sweeper) work out to 1.03G average (470 foot radius, 85-90 mph through the turn). Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Michael, I've got a '67 SS427 I used boxed rear control arms from FTM Parts the business owner (Bobby is his name) was a member on the previous Chevelle list, I haven't seen him post anything on this list. From what I understand he manufactured them as well as other parts. They are really good quailty and reasonably priced. I've had them on my car almost an year now and no problems. I also used Addco sway bars (front and rear) those changes alone made a night and day difference in the way the car handles. Anyway here's there contact information if your interested: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: 336-946-2684 Contact name: Bobby John 67 SS427 Michael Ishee wrote: > Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List > > > Does anyone know if global west offers both the lower and upper rear > trailing arms or just the lower. RE: [Chevelle-List] Global West rear trailing arm
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Are you sure you are talking about the upper arms? The lower ones are the ones usually boxed (for use with a sway bar) and the upper arms are short little arms to locate the rear axle and adjust the pinion angle. RE: [Chevelle-List] Global West rear trailing arm
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Well I will be buying new uppers simply so they will be boxed off and replace the current bushings although I know you can do that separately. For anyone interested in the pro-touring setup I recommend you check out this site: www.g-machines.com. This is a great site with a message board and a lot of helpful information when it comes to suspension among other things. You will find that the site is geared mostly towards Camaros however there a several Chevelles on the board.
