With out this part the gas in the back bowl drains into the intake when I shut off the car. I'm afraid if this keeps up very long it will wipe out my engine. Re: [Chevelle-List] Holley parts
Vernon, The parts are the same size, and shape. These were originally on a Holley 600 vacuum secondary carb. with the single fuel inlet and the side float bowls. (Do not recall which one was installed in the front and which went in the back) At the time I changed to the center pivot bowls with dual feed, removed these "plates" that we've been talking about, and added a set of metering blocks with jets. When you talk to the Holley tech rep, make sure you have the part numbers off the carburator. Don't know about the others, but the CARBSHOP in Ontario, CA www.thecarbshop.com does great work, had some Q-Jets done there and they specialize in Holley's. Give them a call, they are helpful and you won't be disappointed!! You can also send your Mercedes Benz back to be rebuilt and M.B. will refurbish the entire car regardless of year. Of course you'd be paying Mercedes mechanics' rates, but I hear they do a great job.
