The one by my house carrys the different rubber bumpers like your talking about, they are about 20 cents ea, I even found the plastic inserts for the headlight adjusters there. check out the hardware stores, you would be surprised at what they carry for automotive needs! Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List Hi John, Inflated shipping costs really suck! If anyone has ever bought stuff from Mid America Designs (Corvette parts), they've no doubt noticed how screwed up their shipping charges are... They base the shipping on the price of the order. So you could buy a very expensive item that doesn't weigh much, and the shipping costs enough to send a set of cast iron heads overnight! I very rarely buy from them for that reason. That's one reason I like Summit and Jeg's. Even though they charge a "handling" fee, it's still cheaper than sales tax in a lot of places. I usually try to wait until I have a whole list of things to order so I only get one handling fee for a bunch of stuff. BTW, I was checking out your web sight and I couldn't find a part I need. I'm looking for the interior dome light for my Elky. I already have the chrome base and white lens, but I still need the actual "socket" the plugs into the wires and holds the bulb. cYa- Herb Lumpp 1966 El Camino ACES #3509 http://web.tampabay.rr.com/herbsworld/index.htm > BTW, outrageous shipping charges are a peeve of my own. Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I have the 1968-72 El Camino rubber bumper kit in stock for $11.95. Includes rubber bumpers for doors, trunk lid, hood, side of hood, gas tank door, and glove box. No charge for shipping in the U.S. for the rest of this month, so take advantage everybody while it lasts. BTW, outrageous shipping charges are a peeve of my own. When we do start charging for shipping, we will try very hard to post what we believe will be the actual shipping cost for each item. It looks great, for the money. A bit too much orange peel for my taste, but then again the price reflects that. I still have some thoughts that I should have used a "brighter" silver to contrast the blue, but no one will no what I'm talking about until I post some pics, tomorrow. In the meantime, I need the little rubber bumbers that go inside the gascap door. 2 of 'em. Any one have them, or know where to get them? Trevor?
