Re: [Chevelle-list] 66 Console restro question
As a owner of corvette over the years, I wouldn't want that info published especially in a big city - Too easy to get lost - In a less populated area, one might not be so concerned as everyone knows each other - In fact, my '66 Chevelle was stolen and partially stripped before I got it back - The thieves lived in the car for a period of time as I found cans of food and cooking utensils in the trunk >From: Rick Schaefer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: Rick Schaefer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,The Chevelle Mailing List >To: The Chevelle Mailing List >Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] 66 Console restro question >Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2005 21:23:54 -0500 > >Thats an interesting idea. RE: [Chevelle-list] 66 Console restro question
I like it, I still want to find VIN # 138176K118008, that I bought new in Nov/1965. Might also be a way for a seller to find the one person who would pay absolutely the most to buy that particular car (again). Just a thought. I'll probably never do it. Re: [Chevelle-list] 66 Console restro question
Good idea John.It could be called " Vin Central ". Anyway I would have no problems listing the vin for my car. I just read that Dale may be interested in doing it. Dale if you are, I would like to sign up. Larry (Z)
Re: [Chevelle-list] 66 Console restro question
Thats an interesting idea. I'd think that not too many corvette owners would want their location publicized.I can see I'm wrong. I'd be concerned about security with a high dollar car. On 4/27/05, J. RE: [Chevelle-list] 66 Console restro question
I created a site exactly like that for '59 Corvette owners, and it's been up for almost 2 years. You can see it at www.59registry.com It's been a great site thus far, and I'm adding cars all the time. If you can use Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), it is even more gentle, and usually can get it in 50lb bags at SAMS or a feed store. I've seen people blast the paint off of a coke can with it.
