Looking at the pics, I would clean the area very well and get a full
replacement for the front driver side and cut out most of it and replace.
Just because you can see some holes here and there doesn't mean that there
are not other places of the pan that will rot out in time because of weak
metal. Also it is easier to cut out one big piece and weld it in then try to
do a couple small pieces.

DUH - I forgot the link.  Half-timers disease kicking in again.   I'm at

If you can leave the floor brace intact do so. You will need to drill the
spot welds. Did you buy the replacement pan? It will help you determine how
much room you have to cut.
