Not exactly true. Just got back from Prescott and there was plenty of gas.

Yep, coming from SoCal. If you're paying $1.80-$1.97, it will actually
be cheaper than we have here. The cheapest regular I have seen is
$1.83, with most over $1.90. We have refineries all over, yet our
prices jump when a pipeline ruptures in Arizona!

I'm leaving in one week. We'll spend the weekdays in Sierra Vista
(don't ask me why an elderly lady would choose to move way out there...)
and then head to Scottsdale for the Millard Fillmore Corvette Classic
(http://www.corvette-paradise.com/MILLARD.html) for the weekend.

Hopefully everything will be in order soon.  I just sat in a line
at an Albertson's for 50 minutes so I could get the luxury of putting $45.00
  in my S10 and 1 small can (@ 1.94 a gallonwhat a steal ;-)  ).
I heard that a Mesa station was selling gas for $3.05 a gallon and one in
Phoenix had gas for $3.95 a gallonIt's wrong to wish bad things on people,
  but...
Rumor has it this BS will be going on for probably 10 more days.
People are actually following the gas trucks around waiting for them to
stopBTW, the gas placards on the sides of the tanker are identified
  with the "1203- flammable" designation.

As of now, you can still GET gas... Just be prepared to wait in LONG
lines. The price will probably be going way up too, the longer this
goes on. I heard this morning that a place in Chandler was over $3/gal.

So far around here on the west side it's been around $1.80-$1.97 other
than the one place I saw that was $2.19.

Let us know right before you leave and we'll give you an update on the
