Re: [Chevelle-list] Satisfaction Guarantee

2006-06-25 Thread Bob Haggard
Weld wheels warranty is only 90 days. I bought a set while restoring my car
and found out that one was about 1/4"+ outta round but the only thing Summit
would do is give me a good discount on a replacment. Live and learn. Check
new wheels to see if they are bent before you mount the new tires and before
the warranty expires and don't buy any more Weld wheels.

I ordered a complete Chevelle suspension rebuild kit back in 1997. I opened
it when I got it, but didn't check the packing list. I am only now
beginning to use it. 2006. (I've had a bunch of other priorities)
The sway bar brackets sent were for a 13/16. Mine is 15/16 which, I guess,
is unusual for stock.

I was just going to reorder the correct part, hopefully with a little
discount.

They told me to send it back and they would replace it. That truly is

Jim, that is a terrific story. My recent experience with Danchuk in Santa
Ana, CA was not nearly so friendly.

2006-06-23 Thread Dale
After nine years, that's pretty darn impressive. Dakota Digital did
something like that for me after 2 or 3 years. Ordered a complete gauge
setup with panel but didn't get around to installing it for a couple of
years while body work/etc being done. Finally installed it and some LED was
broken causing either tach or speedo to not work. They paid postage both
ways to replace the entire unit.
