If it sold at reserve, his ebay fees would be around $3100 as best I figure. I watched a thing on Car Crazy this afternoon where a guy sold a custom Motor Trend magazine 67 Camaro at BJ for $41,000 and his fee was about $3200 or so. That and his time to haul the car there, hotels, food, etc. he walked away with something like $36,000. I really dont like it as it is, I would put on some merlin heads and pro street it, maybe with some custom paint and stickers, yeah, and of course gauges on the hood and wheeliebars. HAaha, It looks like somebody is bidding on it. Re: [Chevelle-List] '70 Chevelle LS6
Here's a good example for my restoration. Look at the picture of the gas tank. Then look at the frame. http://www.worldwidemusclecars.com/EBAY/EBAYPICS/1/10.JPGIt looks like it was pitted from rust pretty bad. What's the solution if your looking to have a frame powder coated not to have it look like that? What fillers can be used under the powder coating? Is lead an option? If I'm going that far I want it all to be as perdy as possible. 8) JDHall - Original Message - From: Don To: Chevelle-List Sent: Saturday, June 21, 2003 5:59 PM Subject: [Chevelle-List] '70 Chevelle LS6 Hey guys, I was thinking about getting this for my daily driver, what do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemitem=2419487153category=6164 Just kidding! Title: Message When did "Copyright" get a "w" in it? :*) Seriously, powdercoating, by it's nature, is bonded to metal since it's an electrical charging and baking process. I would think it might cover small areas of bondo or lead and the bonded coating around it might hold the bondo/leaded area together if they aren't too large. Gee I could bid on it:). Knowing they paid $165000 for it I doubt they would be willing to take a loss.Gee I may bid myself :) Larry (Z)
Re: [Chevelle-List] '70 Chevelle LS6
List Having owned a LS6 for years, I always thought that if you ordered the LS6 option, that you could not get any other power users like a/c or power steering which would lower the 450 HP of the engine. Power brakes were part of the option and therefore the ONLY power device on the engine. I also thought that was one way to spot a clone.like this one on e-bay that has power steering. Any LS6 experts out there that can verify this? Bill C 70 LS6
