you would think you could or should get it with your Super Chevy
subscription, but I guess they are too cheap or something. You can only get
it at a magazine stand or Wal Mart and those types of stores.

Chevelle: Chevy's Mid-Sized Muscle Car. The people
on the list had trouble getting a hold of it, so I
picked 10 copies. I have 2 left. If you want one let

  Subject: [Chevelle-List] Chevelle
Magazine Winter 2002: Back Issues Now Available!

Ok guys and gals, after one week of research,
phone calls and emails I have had success!

  Here's the scoop...

Super Chevy started a new magazine for
Chevelle enthusiasts that MIGHT be printed three times per year. That magazine
is called "Chevelle: Chevy's Mid-Size Muscle". I found the magazine at Barnes
and Noble about two weeks ago. They had only one copy and it was damagaed but
I purchased it anyway. The content is GREAT. If you haven't seen it, get a
copy, you will not be disappointed.

The first issue was Winter 2002 and is now
available via McMullen Back Issue department. Each issue is $7.00 ($7.54 CA Residents) and $10.00 US Funds for
  foreign.

If we get enough people to buy, maybe Super Chevy
will print more issues in the future?

As for future issues, I have been told that
they will be available via newstand only. I've asked a few people with
McMullen-Argus about subscription availablity and have gotten the cold
shoulder. The magazine is a special feature of sorts so they do not offer
subscrition. If we could get a large number of potential subscriptions maybe
they would take us more seriously? I've asked what that number needs to be but
have yet to see a response.

Note: I don't work for the
magazine, just like what I see and want to share with
others.

I bought one last night at the local (spelled s-m-a-l-l) K-Mart. They even
discount the cover price - I didn't know that. I rarely buy magazines off
the shelf.

No - The inside cover of my Winter 2002 issue of "Chevelle - Chevy's
Mid-Size Muscle" says its issued 3 times a year. The Camaro version
is issued at least that many times. I've only seen the Nova issue once,
and don't know how often it will be published.

So does this mean the Chevelle issue is only once per year? And the others
just once per year each?

I've subscribed to Super Chevy for years, and have never noticed any
reference to these specialty issues. The first I heard of them was in this
thread on the List.

I don't post often, but boy, do I appreciate all the good info I get from

The model specific magazines put out by SUPER CHEVY are not available by
subscription. Rack sales only. They are issued 3 times a year, and
have a specific issue for Chevelles, Camaros and recently I saw one for
Novas'.
The articles are repeats of stuff that has appeared in Super Chevy over
the past few months. I ended my subscription to Super Chevy (after
15 years) and now buy these summary issues.I no longer have to read
thru late model specific articles that don't interest me.

Re: [Chevelle-List] Chevelle Magazine

2001-12-23 Thread Phil

I think the The Chevelle magazine he is speaking of
is a special issue put out by Super Chevy Magazine. I have one from last year.
They do one about once a year. I need to check out the local bookstore to see if
they have one. Chevelle World is published by ACES and is not available on
newstands. You have to belong to ACES to get it.

David,

I looked at the link and saw nothing about the Chevelle magazine. However, I
have the magazine in front of me and it says it's produced by Super Chevy
Magazine. I found my copy in a bookstore.

Inside it says:

This Magazine is published three times a year by McMullen Argus Publishing,
Inc., a subsidiary of PRIMEDIA, The Authoritative source, 2400 E. Katella Ave.
11th Floor, Anaheim, CA. 92806. Phone (714) 939-2400 Fax (714) 978-6360
