Hello Everyone, Talking about buying and selling of cars. If anyone is interested, one of our club members passed away and his wife needs the money more than the car her husband completed prior to his death. If interested you can see it on our club web site http://chicagolandclassicchevy.com/chevy/. While there check out the all Chevy show we are hosting for Eckler's Chevy International in 2009. Believe it or not, I've always wanted another El Camino, either a 1959 or maybe a 68-72. Re: [Chevelle-list] ever thought of trading your Chevelle
Jim I am curious what those other one or two cars would be. The Chevelle I have now is not my "dream car", but I do like the way it turned out and don't plan on selling it. I am just going to have to wait to buy another until I have more storage. I would love to find a first generation, convertible Camaro and a big block '69 Vette. Larry There's really only 1 or 2 cars I'd even half consider trading mine for, and if the opp came up I honestly don't know what I'd do. I love my Chevelle, it's just that I've had it for over 10 years now, so every now and again I get the temporary lapse of swapping it for something else. I don't have enough room at my home for another car, so it would have to be one or the other. She gets lots of looks on the road, it's just the whole "been there done that" thing now. Just wanted to hear everyone elses' thoughts, so thanks! Jim
Re: [Chevelle-list] ever thought of trading your Chevelle?
Jim and all. Again like all of us, this is my opinion but I could not ever do it. I would put the chevelle in storage and buy the new project. I could put storage wrappings on the car and charcoal drying bags in the car and drain or something with the fluids to allow the best outcome later on. Put he car on jackstands and put a bunch of baits around the car and let it sit. It's a cheap solution just adds up to my two pennies worth. What do you think? mike

Re: [Chevelle-list] ever thought of trading your Chevelle?
Many years ago I had a 1954 Truimph TR2 sport car that I got rid of. I still regret doing it. No ways that my L6 Malibu wil be traded! It is part of my estate! Think twice before trading as the cost of restoration and the personal joy received can never be made up. Johann - Original Message - From: "J. Re: [Chevelle-list] ever thought of trading your Chevelle?
You just better make sure you won't regret it. I have a couple I never should have gotten rid of as I'm sure others have to. We left the church in our 66 and will never sell it. She is part of the family. That said, If there is something else you really want and can't have both, go for it. Life's to short. Good luck!! Dan On Thu, Oct 2, 2008 at 9:01 PM, J.
