Yes, I know. But the problem is that on just one platform I have this
problem.(On the 3660s). I have tried replacing the modules (NM-16AMs).
Very strange. Any comments?

Thats fine debugging, but it does not give the frame structure that I am
looking for. Debugging only gives you the operations and not complete
information. I need the D channel detail caputured for decoding.

RE: EIGRP issues [7:61068]

2003-01-19 Thread Raj Santiago
Hi Edward,

If you can ping the other end of the serial link, then PPP password etc,
are not an issue.

There is nothing I can see thatÂ’s obviously wrong, apart from a sneaking
suspicion that "async dynamic address" could be causing your issue. You have
currently hard set your ip addresses, this line is defunct.

Can you remove that line and give it a go. If the problem still persist can
you type (after the dial-backup is connected)

*sh ip route
*sh ip eigrp interfaces
*sh dialer maps

 cheers,

Raj

guaranteeing bandwidth [7:61339]

2003-01-19 Thread Barbu Alexandru
Hi! I am trying to guarantee bandwidth(more like
limiting :)) for a few customers. And it is not
working :D . I would like to know what is wrong in
this configuration and, if it's all wrong how can i
get it done.

access-list 100 permit ip host xxx.xxx.xxx.23 any
access-list 100 permit ip host xxx.xxx.xxx.57 any
access-list 100 permit ip host xxx.xxx.xxx.89 any
access-list 100 permit ip host xxx.xxx.xxx.100 any

class-map group_01
match access-group 100

policy-map root
class group_01
shape peak 128000
bandwidth 32000

And this is about it. I want to give them a 128 kbits
channel and guarantee 32kbits for each one of them.

Thanks a lot,
Alexandru Barbu

Re: O/T more campus design issues [7:60136]

2003-01-19 Thread cheekin
Hi Priscilla,

You may want to try this if you have not solved the issue.

Edit the LMHOST to add the following entry.

a.b.c.d#PRE#DOM:

The description of the #PRE and #DOM usage is in the lmhosts.sam file.

Reboot the the computer to ensure that the entry is loaded into the
cache. You can confirm this by executing this command at the command
prompt: nbtstat -c

Your description of the problem is similar to what I experienced 3 years
ago while supporting NT 4.0 Workstations. We have DNS and WINS server
setup at each remote location but the mobile users were unable to logon
to their DC when they were out of their offices.

HTH,
cheekin

Alexandru,

Your commands are correct but,
You need to apply ACL 100 to an interfcae with in/out command like:

conf t
Interface s0

ip access-group 100 out
(to only permit those specific hosts out of intf s0)

Hope this helps
You can refer to some some CCNA/CCNP books for more info.

Ok. But still i am running a IOS firewall on my

other trafic.
On the other hand i have a 512 kbits link and i
want to share it in 4 channel of 128, each channel
containing 4 users with 32 guaranteed. What am i going
to do with the four access-lists? In this way i am
applying each access-list to its class... but it
doesn't seem to work... What am i supposed to do?

IP accounting question [7:61350]

2003-01-19 Thread Richard Campbell
Hi.. For example, if I have a router with two interface, ethernet0 and
serial0. If I only turn on the IP accounting at serial0 not ethernet0. It
means I can only capture IP accounting on the traffic from LAN->router-->WAN
right? Those traffic from WAN->router-LAN IP acccounting can't be capture
unless I turn on IP accounting on ethernet0 right?

Question2: What command can we make the router to clear ip accounting
automatically on per day basic. Is there any??

Thanks

Enterprise Design Probelm / Study [7:61351]

2003-01-19 Thread The Long and Winding Road
Have I got a good one!

Just got through reading an RFP for a large organization. Over 30 sites,
12,000 ports, and 2000 phones. Complete rebuild of the network LAN and WAN
infrastructure. Add to that throwing out all their old PBX and key systems
and building for VoIP and video, in addition to current data traffic. New
switches, new routers, client asking for generous redundancy. L3 switching
up the wazoo ( that's a technical term meaning lotsa money to spend )

The thrill of the design is something else. Customer wants a centralized
Call Manager, but also wants certainty in case of failure at any of the
usual places.

This oughta keep me out of trouble for a few weeks.

for those who have asked off line, the Netcraftsman materials may be found
at:

http://www.netmasterclass.net/site/lib.php

as long as I'm plugging the competition, I do wish you all would hook up
with certification zone and use the materials found there. worth the price
