CCIE WRITTEN TOMORROW :-) [7:28352]

2001-12-06 Thread Danny Rising II

Going to take the CCIE Written test tomorrow morning at 10:00AM. Everyone
wish me luck. Either way tomorrow night I am going to get drunk, either
because I am out 300 dollars or I have completed that nightmare of a tested
called the CCIE Written.

ISDN testing software [7:28350]

2001-12-06 Thread Danny Rising II

does any have a script already written that I could use to run ISDN testing,
I have about 900 sites that I need to test one a week and verify that their
backup line is working, We currently have a script that a guy wrote a while
back that is doing the testing, the problem with his script is that if a
site has more than one BRI interface that it will not test correctly. The
one he has will login to the router, enable ping the dialer map, see if it
has two active layer three calls and make sure it stays up for at least 30
seconds, long enough to make sure there is no authentication problems, and
negotiation problems, or Telco problems. If you know of a perl script that
will tell you that please let me know. Also if it will tell you how much the
circuit is costing you. He has a old script that will log into the headend
routers, or access servers and look at the log and pull all data that shows
a connection from the site, and how long it was connected, then it will
calculate the cost on what our carrier is charging us for long distance. The
would be useful if anyone has something that can do these and report to us.

RE: Boson CCDA test? [7:28240]

2001-12-06 Thread Danny Rising II

try the exam essentials from certify.com they where great for the CCNA, and
my CNE training. I noticed they just got it for the CCDA. I would of used it
if not already got it. The CCDA is harder than the CCNA, a lot of Case
Studies.

Subject: UDP question

OK guys, I am running into a little problem in my CCIE Written study. I have
two different testing Engines and they have both gave me the same question
but different answers on both tests. Does anyone know what the correct
answer should be, here is the question they are asking.

Which statement is true when a UDP packet has to be fragmented?
A. only the first fragment has the UDP header
B. All fragments hold the UDP header, so that access lists that look at the
port would be usable
C. The first fragment holds only the UDP header, not the UDP data. The UDP
data is transmitted in the subsequent fragments.
D. None of the Above.

One testing software says A, while the other says B.

please let me know.
