R/S.  I am scheduled to take my exam and would like to see how well I think
I am doing.

Password Question

2000-12-19 Thread Eric Fisher

I have this router that someone must have entered no service =
password-recovery and I don't have the password. You are unable to get =
into Rommon to change the confreg. Is there a work around this or do I =
have to call Cisco.

Thanks

I searched on CCO and can find no record of "no service =

using an older version of HyperTerminal, are you? The old version didn't =
send the break signal properly. You can try the newer version or a =
different terminal emulator altogether if this is the case.

Clairifcation of PWD problem.

2000-12-19 Thread Eric Fisher

It has nothing to do with the hyperterm. I am having this problem with =
has enterprise 12.1.1 on it. When you issue this command no service =
password-recovery in global config you will get a warning message. I =
had a client hit yes to it and they forgot the password. You can not =
break into rommon you get a error message when you try to. If he knew =
the password I would be able to turn it off with service =
password-recovery for global config. You will not find anything on the =
cco it is a undocumented command and in order to try this the command =
has to be type out in full.=20
