How much GRE tunnel can supported on Cisco routers
Hi, I have a question: if i want to set up GRE tunnels between 30 sites, what kind of router should i use? site1 --Internet -site2 | . site3 .. OK, more detail, We need 30 tunnels on a single phisical interface, this interface maybe serial port which connect to Internet. I hope all these tunnels begin at the serial interface of site1 router, and end at others serail interface which connect to Internet too. The GRE traffic is not too much, about 10% of the total traffic on the interface, other 90% traffic is normal Internet traffic. you can use ip ospf cost command to change the default cost to the same value for the two lines.
