Dear All,
I have recently configured a Cisco Local Director which load balances
between 2 webservers but am having trouble
with the cabling,if I divide the switch into 2 Vlans, how do I get the
webservers attached to the local director in one Vlan to talk the other
Vlan.
I hope this explanation is clear..Please feel free to send any form of help
whatsoever...

Jon,

Thanx for replying. I have only got one switch in this set up do you reckon
that would work if I split it into 2 Vlans?

Re: SERNO

2000-09-21 Thread Wannabe CCIE

I copied this from the Cisco website.. hope it helps!
Miss wannabe

serno:
The serial number of the current version of the dbs database for this
domain. The serial number is the means by which other nameservers realize
that your database has been updated. This serial number must be a
monotonically increasing integer–do not put a decimal point into the serial
number, as this can yield confusing and unpleasant results. Some DNS
administrators use the date last modified as the serial number, in the
format YYMMDDHHMM; others simply increment the serno by a small number every
time the database is updated.

BSCN MANUAL at LAST!!!

2000-09-26 Thread Wannabe CCIE

After searching the earth and back, I have finally just bought a copy of the
official Cisco BSCN manuals (two in total) and believe me it's the bomb!!
I'm happy about my purchase cos I am confident that all I need to study for
the Routing exam is available in one place rather than studying blindly
using the Cisco website and various bits and pieces
I can hook you up with the person,he sold it to me for £70.00 if you're
currently preparing for your Routing 2.0 exams you'd know that there aren't
any books available yet..

Another advantage I found with the manual is that the topics are laid out in
an extremely easy and elementary manner that it makes an enjoyable read.
Every thing is covered afterall it's Cisco's official training manual,
although I have been studying with various materials…once I've been through
the manual thoroughly am sure I'll ace the exam…

£70.00 is a small price to pay considering the fact that I have been offered
the same thing for £300.
If you'd like one too email me direct or ring my mobile and I may be able to
get one for you…through my contact
I live in London!!!
