Congigure the ATM LS 100 ! [7:63328]

2003-02-19 Thread XY HIEN LE
Hi all,

Does anyone know how to configure the LightStream LS 100 switch to work
between 2 7200 routers with ATM interfaces? I am trying to set up the
ATM lab practice but can't get the switch to pass traffic between 2
routers?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Xy

Voice Over ATM for ccbootcamp lab. [7:64118]

2003-02-28 Thread Xy Hien Le
Hi
I need help on this particular problem.
Here is the issue:
I have 2 3620 with Voice Module intstalled in each router, but no ATM Module.
I also have 2 7206 with ATM modules installed in each router but no Voice
Module!

The question is how am I going to do the Voice Over ATM lab without having to
buy either the voice modules for the 72xx routers or ATM modules for the 36xx
routers?

Are there any voice modules made for the 72xx routers?

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Xy

Router 2500 series crashed in BGP!!! [7:64554]

2003-03-05 Thread Xy Hien Le
Hi,
I have experienced the Cisco 25xx routers crashed many time when configuring
BGP with the 26xx and 36xx routers, connected in a lab environment; most of
time happened when I do the "clear ip bgp *" command.
Does anyone have the same problem? The 25xx routers have 16RAM and 16 FLASH
installed.
Any suggestion to fix this problem is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Xy

2003-03-12 Thread Xy Hien Le
Hi Everyone,

I have a 7206 with a built-in FastEthernet interface which is an MII
media-type connector.
What type of cable and connector do I need to convert it to a regular RJ45
connection?
Thank you all,

Xy

Hi all,

I have an LS100 ATM LIGHTSTREAM (NOT LS1010) in between 2 ATM routers
configured as follow:

 atm pvc 1 0 16 ilmi
 atm pvc 2 2 48 aal5snap
 no atm ilmi-keepalive

map-list atm
 ip 10.1.1.1 atm-vc 2 broadcast

ATM SWITCH LS100 IN BETWEEN

interface ATM2/0
 ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
 ip ospf network point-to-multipoint
 map-group atm
 atm pvc 1 0 16 ilmi
 atm pvc 2 2 49 aal5snap

I don't know how to configure the LS100 LIGHTSTREAM SWITCH to connect the 2

Can someone with the experience of LS100 send me a configuration of this
switch?

Thank you all in advance.

Problem with 7206 router [7:66036]

2003-03-23 Thread Xy Hien Le
Hi everyone,

I have a very unique problem with this particular 7206 which I can't solve it
for the last 2 weeks!!!
I can only ping the local interfaces of this router but it won't communicate
with any other routers connected to it!!!
The "show ip interface atm2/0" output show that the broadcast address is
255.255.255.255 and determined by setup, while other routers connect to it
all
stated that: Address determined by non-volatile memory. Here are the examples
of the 2 ATM interfaces' output "show ip int" connected via an ATM switch:

r9#sh ip int atm1/0
ATM1/0 is up, line protocol is up
  Internet address is 10.1.1.1/24
  Broadcast address is 255.255.255.255
Address determined by non-volatile memory (THIS ROUTER WOULD WORK)
  MTU is 4470 bytes
  Helper address is not set
  Directed broadcast forwarding is disabled
Multicast reserved groups joined: 224.0.0.5 224.0.0.6
Outgoing access list is not set
Inbound access list is not set
  Proxy ARP is enabled
  Security level is default
  Split horizon is enabled
  ICMP redirects are always sent
  ICMP unreachables are always sent
ICMP mask replies are never sent
  IP fast switching is enabled
IP fast switching on the same interface is disabled
  IP Flow switching is disabled
  IP CEF switching is enabled
  IP Fast switching turbo vector
IP Normal CEF switching turbo vector
IP multicast fast switching is enabled

r9#

R3#sh ip int atm2/0
ATM2/0 is up, line protocol is up
  Internet address is 10.1.1.2/24
  Broadcast address is 255.255.255.255
Address determined by setup command (THIS ROUTER WILL FAIL)
  MTU is 4470 bytes
  Helper address is not set
  Directed broadcast forwarding is disabled
Multicast reserved groups joined: 224.0.0.5 224.0.0.6
Outgoing access list is not set

  ICMP redirects are always sent
  ICMP unreachables are always sent
ICMP mask replies are never sent
  IP fast switching is disabled
IP fast switching on the same interface is disabled
  IP Flow switching is disabled
  IP Fast switching turbo vector
  IP Null turbo vector

Router ID? [7:66108]

2003-03-24 Thread XY HIEN LE
Hi all,

Two routing protocols: OSPF and EIGRP DO need to have their own router
ID reachable by other routers to have proper network connectivity, or am
I incorrect?

Any confirmation on this is much appreciated.

EIGRP SUMMARY ROUTE METRIC [7:66344]

2003-03-27 Thread XY HIEN LE
Hi,
I have a question that need to be clarified regarding the metric of
EIGRP summary metric:
The metric of EIGRP summarized route derived from the component route
that has the biggest or smallest metric?
Any clarification on this matter is much appreciated. I could not find
answer in any of the Cisco Press books or any web site at all.
Thanks in advance.

HELP ON THE 3550 SWITCH [7:70892]

2003-06-18 Thread Xy Hien Le
I have this problem with this CS-C3550-24PWR-SMI
Here is what happened:
I tried to upgrade this switch to EMI image: c3550-i5q3l2-mz.121-11.EA1.bin.
After loading the new EMI image I then issue the command: boot system
flash:c3550-i5q3l2-mz.121-11.EA1.bin. When reboot after upgrading, it keep
recycling the booting process as shown below:

executing...

Error: hardware not supported by firmware.
   Try loading newer software instead.
   System Resetting...

Evidently, the switch allowed me to upgrade with this EMI image but not
compatible.
I have upgraded several of the regular 3550s in the pass without any problem,
I think this particular switch with the PWR suffix has something to do with
this problem.

Any one know how to reverse this mistake or setting this switch to boot with
the original IOS which still install in the flash.

Any input to resolve this problem is very much appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Hi everyone,

I bought a 7206 router and it booted up as follow before booting by the Flash
Card contains IOS.
I think the internal flash device is missing or corrupted.
Anyone have any sugestion how I can fix this?
Here is the boot up output:

System Bootstrap, Version 11.1(5) [mkamson 5], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Copyright (c) 1994 by cisco Systems, Inc.
C7200 processor with 65536 Kbytes of main memory

monlib does not contain a valid magic number
boot: cannot open "bootflash:"
an alternate boot helper program is not specified
(monitor variable "BOOTLDR" is not set)
and unable to determine first file in bootflash
loadprog: error - on file open
boot: cannot load "cisco2-C7200"

And it will booted with the image installed in the Flash Card...

Any sugestion is much apreciated.
