should I even bother doing the hex questions on BCMSN? I know and understand binary, hex, multicast MAC address (00-00-05e +13 lsbs) very well,hex conversions but why waste the time on the test doing all the messy hEx for 5 minutes? BCSMN Selective Memorization
I'm not just a test taker, I really do bear down and build this stuff and pride myself on building it in hardware understanding theory and practice and working with the people and sharing unselfishley. Unfortunately I'm not such a good memorizer . The last thing i do before the exam is make up 4 or 5 tables of horrendous mnemeonics that i forget 5 minutes after the test. I just checked Cisco Site to find that CCDA is a perequisite. Is this for real? What is the CCDA? When did they sneak that in with the CCNA? Now I have a total of 5 exams to take? 2500 boot 512K page fault msg
Keep on getting a 512k page fault Message during 2501 boot. Sometimes Router boots completely and works sometimes it doesnt even boot or get far. Flashing erratic or non existent system green light.Recently we were stupid and tried putting 2600 Flash in it to upgrade it. Help!: Lost passwords on a 2621,2501
Dear Sirs and Madams: We were given a 2621 and 2501 after a Company reorganization. We didn't get thier passwords,and I am too weary to go through the politics to get them.I'm not that good at he p word anyway. I would rather hack them for the entire weekend on my own time. 1. THE CISCO 2621: The Cisco 2621 was last set up as a Radius/Tactas router and when it finishes booting, it shows this: User: The original owner erased thier division's passwords and we can't get in. 2. THE CISCO 2501 The 2501 finishes the boot process with "Router" on screen. I can't get ahold of a Flash RAM card/chip until next week. Is there a way to make it Boot TFTP, and where could I find the procedure? 3. My hope is to configure them to use them in a CCNP type testbed. How do you make a Cisco 2501 and Cisco 3000 Talk?
...on the Serial Ports? The Cisco 3000 has a 50 PIN serial V2 cable and the Cisco 2501 has a standard serial port, like that on the back of a PC.What type of cable should i use?
