BRI Problem

2001-02-07 Thread Stephen Robichaud

I have 2 Cisco routers connected by 1 ISDN link between the two. Router A is
setup to receive calls and Router B is setup to place the calls. What is
happening is Router B makes the call but only 1 B channel is coming up. Both
B channels on router B are good and I get the following

Layer 1 Status:
ACTIVE
Layer 2 Status:
TEI = 69, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
TEI = 70, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
Layer 3 Status:
1 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
Activated dsl 0 CCBs = 3
CCB:callid=0, sapi=0, ces=1, B-chan=0
CCB:callid=E1B6, sapi=0, ces=1, B-chan=1
CCB:callid=E4C6, sapi=0, ces=2, B-chan=0

I have set the dialer load threshold to 1 on Router B and it is using PPP
Multilink

I have two dialer map statements on router B that calls the SPIDS on Router
A.

When I do a Show dialer I get the following

BRI0 - dialer type = ISDN

Dial String Successes FailuresLast called Last status
9825 7 128930:00:29 successful
98254445 3 129000:00:05 failed
0 incoming call(s) have been screened.
BRI0: B-Channel 1
Idle timer (2147483 secs), Fast idle timer (30 secs)
Wait for carrier (30 secs), Re-enable (15 secs)
Time until disconnect 2147482 secs
Current call connected 3:17:59
Connected to 9825444(FIRE)
BRI0: B-Channel 2
Idle timer (2147483 secs), Fast idle timer (30 secs)
Wait for carrier (30 secs), Re-enable (15 secs)

Router B constantly dials. Anybody have any Ideas?
Spids on Router A are ok

Thanks

I've read that for certain switch types, for both channels to work you need to add the
LDN for each B channel to your spid statements. That might be worth checking into a
little further.

2001-02-07 Thread Tony van Ree

Hi,

You need to have the dialer-load and/or ppp multi set on both routers. You debug
seems to indicate the ISDN service is fine.

Oh make sure your dialer-load thresholds work for for both directions.

Re: BRI Problem

2001-02-07 Thread jenny . mcleod

This is a bit of a shot in the dark - I use a different switch type and no
SPIDs so things may show up differently.

I notice that you have three activated CCBs, but only one active call. If
I make a call in my setup, I only expect to see one activated CCB per
active call. However there is a bug that affects primary rate services
(don't know if it also affects BRI) where sometimes the CCBs are not
released after a call. This means you can't use that channel until the
interface is reset and the CCBs cleared.

This is probably not what is causing your problem, but if you want to rule
it out, shut/no shut the BRI interface and check that there are no
activated CCBs and no active calls. Then try again.

Modem over BRI Problem [7:39363]

2002-03-27 Thread Firesox

I am in need of a quick help. Has anyone done this config?
I have 3640 with 6 port digital modem and 4 port BRI.
Two BRI lines are provisioned by Verizon to accept modem dialin.
Foillowing is the debugging output when a user dials in to one of the BRI
lines.

Verizon tells me they have the ISDN switch confugred correctly.
I have the following config(I have deleted some config unrelated to this
issue)
