OK I guess everyone in this study group is running their Cisco routers from their houses? OK, I won't post anything about this project. I thought some of the things I was doing with the 3550EMI might be in the CCIE exam for some people. -Original Message- From: The Long and Winding Road [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 10:35 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: 3550 study strategy - ANY ?? RE: 3550 study strategy - ANY ?? [7:59000]
I have 2 3550's EMI layer 3 if you want me to send you command/configuration examples. I am still working on allowing netbios traffic between some VLANS. I been working on some other stuff. I have to do a sh ip route, and check the routing tables to see if everything is setup correctly. check out www.netmasterclass.net look in the technical library. Cisco Nuts wrote in message [EMAIL PROTECTED]">news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]... Hello, Does anyone have a study strategy for the 3550 - in terms of preparing for the CCIE Lab??I see lots of topics under: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/c3550/12111ea1/3550scg/i ndex.htm Is there any that one should focus on or is one required to read and master each and every topic listed? What do you think might be more covered in the Lab? (Don't want to hear the word everything!!) Just printed out a couple of topics and that's about a couple of hundred pages!! Any advise is gratefully appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, CN MSN 8 helps ELIMINATE E-MAIL VIRUSES. Get 2 months FREE*. Re: 3550 study strategy - ANY ?? [7:59000]
I would definitely take a look at Chuck's labs at CertificationZone. They are the best I have seen to date! Also IPexpert and NetMasterclass have some other free materials that are good. Re: 3550 study strategy - ANY ?? [7:59000]
Well just print out another few hundred pages and you'll be there. The Configuration guide is pretty good. I haven't attempted the lab yet but would assume the following items are likely to be seen: trunking, etherchannel, unicast routing, multicast routing, VTP, Vlan-maps, fallback-bridging, layer 2 and 3 access-lists, just to mention a few. But then again you won't find out until you shell out the $1250.00!! I also find myself frustrated with the fact that anything is fair game, but that's what makes it the CCIE! Good luck!
