FW: Unspecified Card

2000-09-22 Thread David Toalson

On the 2610 at least you want to put your card in the first slot - W0.
Have you tried moving the card to slot W0 or is there another card in
it? The first time I installed a 2610 I had the same type of error -
moved the WIC to slot W0 and the error went away.

Not compatible. You can use an NM-4A/S if you don't need faster than 128K;
otherwise, use two WIC-2T's.

(If you're already using your WIC slots, you can get an NM-2W which will
give you 2 more WIC slots.)

I know the WIC-2T is but have not seen a 4T that will work in that router.
4T is usually 3600 and up.

Unspecified Card

2000-09-15 Thread alex campbell

Hello all,

I have a cisco 2620 router...running IOS 12.0, I have also just got a 4T
serial card,
every time I power up the router...I get the message 'Unspecified Card in
Port 1'.
I have tried differend versions of IOS 12 all to no avail. I get the Green
EN light on the card to illuminate once the router powers up, but then it
turns itself off again.

Any help much appreciated
Alex
