RE: [Clamav-users] Clamav 0.86 for REDHAT 9
However, have you tried just downloading http://crash.fce.vutbr.cz/crash-hat/1/clamav/clamav-0.86.1-1.i386.rpm and installing that? What is the problem really? -Jim You can also install apt and then configure it to install ClamAv from the dag repository or just get the RH9 package from dag and install. http://dag.wieers.com/packages/clamav/ http://dag.wieers.com/home-made/apt/ ___ http://lurker.clamav.net/list/clamav-users.html

Quoting Damian Mantelli (AUTORED) [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Thanks Eric and Jim for your help, this site seems very good but they don´t have the DB file, and Clamd file :( What DB file? If you mean the signature database files, then they are in there (installed to /var/lib/clamav/). Not that you need them (just run freshclam after install. If you mean something else, then what? What do you mean by Clamd file? It provides the clamd daemon as /usr/sbin/clamd, and clamd startup script as /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamd, but if you mean something else, let me know. If you mean some other files, let me know... And I don´t know how make the rpm file since the SRC.RPM file :( You shouldn't need to. Damian, I think you can just use the db and clamd files from www.clamav.net. That's what I did, even though I'm using an rpm from another site. Also, to make an rpm from a SRC RPM file on RH9, use the command rpmbuild --rebuild filename. You may need to use rpmbuild --rebuild --recompile filename.
